The Mental Health - What a complex issue, diving into discussion about depression, addiction, anxiety, stress... and the algorithms to try and "fix" these issues - exercise, diet, medication, therapy, dopamine and serotonin leveling, etc.. We still have much to learn in this field, and there are still irregularities; but, we have a pretty good understanding now, and poppin' pills isn't the cure some people may mistakenly assume it is.. Consistency, replacement and positive changes are a few great practices, however, the platitude "easier said than done" has never met such a fitting topic. This episode could've went on for hours, so we apologize if things were not covered more in depth, or there were parts that should've been thrown in to the conversation, that didn't make it! A few of these episodes will definitely need a "part 2."

THE BIAS EFFECT

The Bias Effect - Wow, what an intriguing topic and discussion on something that influences every single person. Which biases do you have? What are the main cognitive biases that affect our world, our Country, our Politics, our Views on morality and ethics, on and on and on... This episode will inform you on some of the biases, cognitive biases, unconscious biases (however you'd like it, semantically speaking), and some ways we can maybe pin point them in our own lives. This is probably one of the most underrated issues that has a figurative hand in almost any discussion that has some importance attached to it. I'd (Justin) have to say this is one of the most important episodes, and also - one that will be referenced until we stop doing episodes and/or die. Well, that took a turn... Social Media - What has it changed, what is it good for, what is it bad for? Justin and Jon dive in and look at this movement from a few angles, figuring out what it can help or exacerbate, and what could possibly be done to go with the current in an aware manner, realizing that maybe these uploaded pictures, statuses, and all the other options and wonders of social media, are not a valid replacement of real life... Not yet, at least.
