Episode Episode #90: 220 Pounds Gone Without Drugs or Surgery: Stanley Bronstein's Real Story Cover

Episode #90: 220 Pounds Gone Without Drugs or Surgery: Stanley Bronstein's Real Story

Episode #90: 220 Pounds Gone Without Drugs or Surgery: Stanley Bronstein's Real Story   At 320 pounds, Stanley Bronstein asked himself one question: Where will I be in five years if nothing changes? The answer was dead. That was 17 years ago. Since then, he's lost 220 pounds—no drugs, no surgery—and built a life around what he calls the Way of Excellence. Dr. Cindy sits down with Stanley to talk about what it really takes to change, and why it's easier than you think.   In this episode, we cover:   * (4:00) Optimizing your health without drugs or surgery * (6:00) Ditching the alcohol and soda for a five-hour “pool walk”  * (12:00) You can’t exercise yourself out of a poor diet  * (15:00) Stanley’s four recommendations for a better lifestyle  * (20:00) Temporary changes give you temporary results * (23:00) Beat yesterday * (32:00) Live every day for Peggy Chun * (36:00) Rapid-fire questions   Dr. Cindy’s Socials: https://linktr.ee/drcindyspeaks [https://linktr.ee/drcindyspeaks] Dr. Cindy’s Merch [https://merchloop.com/collections/dr-cindy]   Dr. Cindy’s Partners: Professional Health Products: http://www.phpltd.com [http://www.phpltd.com] Stopain Clinical: https://www.stopainclinical.com/ [https://www.stopainclinical.com/] Infinedi: https://infinedi.net/ [https://infinedi.net/] About Stanley Bronstein: Stanley F. Bronstein is an attorney, CPA, life coach, and author who has lived a transformation most people believe is impossible and then turned it into two clear, teachable systems that people can actually use. At his peak, he weighed 367 pounds and knew he was headed in the wrong direction. He did not take weight loss drugs or have surgery.  Instead, he rebuilt his life by creating a sustainable lifestyle rooted in real food, daily walking, mindset work, and constant, never-ending improvement. Stanley lost over 220 pounds, reaching a weight in the 140s and, most importantly, has kept it off for nearly 17 years. That long-term maintenance is the part people rarely hear about, and it is where the real lessons live.  That journey taught him three core truths that now drive everything he does. First, he is more powerful than he ever imagined. Second, after doing what once seemed impossible, he began asking what else is waiting for him that he has not done yet. Third, if he could do this, other people can too, if they are given the right framework and the right support.  That is why he created The Way of Excellence, a personal development system designed to help people build integrity, discipline, persistence, long-term thinking, emotional strength, balance, and alignment of mind, body, and spirit. He has written six books in that world: The Way of Excellence Journal, The Way of You, The Way of Us, The Way of AI, The Way of Constant and Never-Ending Improvement, and The Way of Rigid Flexibility. These are not feel-good ideas. They are structured principles that help people change how they live. He also applied these principles to create The Million Pound Weight Loss Challenge, a free online movement and community with over 4,800 members. It exists to help overweight and obese people lose weight in a healthy manner, without drugs or surgery. Flashback Friday Episode #88: Commanding Resilience: J. Scot Heathman’s Journey from Brain Tumor to Triumph

Flashback Friday #88: Commanding Resilience: J. Scot Heathman’s Journey from Brain Tumor to Triumph   In this powerful episode of the Positively Altered Podcast, Dr. Cindy sits down with J. Scot Heathman, a former military commander who faced a life-altering challenge after a car accident led to the discovery of a brain tumor. J. Scot shares his inspiring journey of resilience, including how his military mindset helped him tackle the unexpected. From naming his tumor “Toby” to navigating a lengthy recovery, J. Scot’s story is a testament to strength, leadership, and the power of perspective. Tune in for a mix of humor, vulnerability, and practical advice on navigating adversity and embracing life’s challenges!   In this episode, we cover:   * (4:08) How would a car accident become a blessing in disguise? * (14:55) Coming out of surgery worse than before the surgery * (17:45) What can I control in this situation? * (22:27) Did your military training prepare you for this life event? * (31:03) How is your health today? * (32:58) Do you miss flying planes? * (43:32) Rapid-fire questions   Dr. Cindy’s Links: http://linktr.ee/drcindyspeaks [http://linktr.ee/drcindyspeaks] Dr. Cindy’s Partners: Professional Health Products: http://www.phpltd.com [http://www.phpltd.com] Stopain Clinical: https://www.stopainclinical.com/ [https://www.stopainclinical.com/] Infinedi: http://infinedi.net/ [http://infinedi.net/]     About J. Scot Heathman:   1. Scot Heathman’s life is marked by a desire to shoot for the skies.    Raised in Minnesota with traditional Midwest values, he was an active participant in school, sports, and his community. However, his greatest passion emerged at just three years old, when he saw Star Wars in the theater for the first time.    That day, he knew he was destined to fly airplanes. This dream prompted a 25-year career in the Air Force, during which time he became a colonel, combat instructor pilot, squadron commander, and eventually an Air Force base commander leading and serving roughly 14,000 personnel.    In 2019, however, his resilience would be tested beyond anything he had ever experienced. Following a car accident, doctors discovered he had a brain tumor. The next year was spent in observation and eventually culminated in a nearly ten-hour surgery.    Despite four months of extreme therapy to learn how to walk, talk, see, and regain his balance, J. Scot returned as the Base Commander for Scott Air Force Base in Illinois, only to go through 30 rounds of radiation, all while under the global pandemic.    This experience taught him how impactful his lessons could be in inspiring others and prompted a unique opportunity to elevate others. So, in 2022, he retired from the Air Force and set out to bring his ideas of courage and a proven leadership style to help corporate and senior leaders command their own cultures.   Today, J. Scot inspires CEOs to front-line leaders to ‘command with courage’ so they can unleash the force within their team, ignite their innovative spirit, and skyrocket their bottom line.    His Commander Level coaching/training programs, along with his keynote presentations, inspire his clients to lead with relatability and respect and embrace their vulnerability and emotional intelligence for positive change. J. Scot has Master’s degrees in Organizational Leadership, Operational Planning & Strategy, and National Security & Strategic Studies, and is certified in Emotional Intelligence and Wiley’s Everything DiSC curriculum and assessments, designed to take leadership performance to the highest altitudes.     He has earned the 2024 Emotional Intelligence Facilitator and Retired Colonel of the Year award from the International Association of Top Professionals.    He contributed to “The Military Effect: Fifty Stories of Those Who Have Served [https://themilitaryeffect.com/]” by Scott Manthorne and author of the upcoming book “Command With Courage: Elevating Beyond Adversity,” a release date to be announced.   Follow J. Episode #87: When the Labs Don’t Help: Greg Lee Helps You Uncover What's Really Making You Sick

Episode #87: When the Labs Don’t Help: Greg Lee Helps You Uncover What's Really Making You Sick   You've seen eight specialists, your labs are normal, and you keep getting worse. Former NASA engineer Greg Lee has heard that story — because he lived it. Greg healed his own mysterious gut issues, now runs the Lyme Research Healing Center, and uses advanced bio-energetic scanning to uncover what conventional testing misses. If you're stuck, dismissed, or running out of answers, this episode is for you.   In this episode, we cover:    (3:00) From NASA to the health space (6:00) Greg’s journey with Lyme disease research (11:00) Addressing mold and other toxicities  (16:00) How to reset people’s immune systems to help with food allergies (18:00) Duration of patient’s healing journey (20:00) Parasite cleanse . . . the good, the bad, and the ugly  (23:00) Foods that improve your health and lower inflammation  (25:00) Acupuncture’s limitations (27:00) Typical treatment for Lyme disease (30:00) Rapid-fire questions   Dr. Cindy’s Socials: https://linktr.ee/drcindyspeaks [https://linktr.ee/drcindyspeaks] Dr. Cindy’s Merch [https://merchloop.com/collections/dr-cindy]   Dr. Cindy’s Partners: Professional Health Products: http://www.phpltd.com [http://www.phpltd.com] Stopain Clinical: https://www.stopainclinical.com/ [https://www.stopainclinical.com/] Infinedi: https://infinedi.net/ [https://infinedi.net/]   About Greg Lee:   I’m Greg Lee, founder of the Lyme Research & Healing Center and a former NASA engineer who walked away from a traditional career path after my own struggle with IBS. In my practice, I've seen over a thousand chronic illness patients who have been dismissed, misdiagnosed, or told to “just live with it.”   I truly enjoyed listening to the recent episode “Healing Isn’t One-Size-Fits-All: Danielle Pashko’s Story.” It deeply resonated with our medical approach of our Advanced Medical Scan to identify the most important underlying infections, toxins, inflammatory patterns, immune stressors, and neurological imbalances—and then crafting a customized treatment and remedy program based on each patient’s unique physiology rather than applying a generic protocol.   My work focuses on people dealing with chronic Lyme, mold illness, long COVID, neurological symptoms, fatigue, pain, anxiety, and mystery conditions that don’t show up clearly on lab tests—but absolutely show up in real life. Beyond the medicine, I see every day how chronic illness alters identity, relationships, purpose, and mental health.   At our clinic, the Advanced Medical Scan helps uncover hidden drivers such as chronic infections, toxins, nervous system overload, inflammation, and gut–brain dysfunction. Using the Scan results, we help these patients heal more quickly with several advanced therapies, including Molecular Hydrogen Treatment, frequency-specific microcurrent, Functional Medicine remedies, nanoparticle herbs and essential oils, peptides, Chinese medicine, German Biological Homeopathic Remedies, and bee venom.  What I also bring to a conversation like yours isn’t just protocols—it’s the human side of what happens when life gets derailed and has to be rebuilt.   Follow Greg:  Website [https://www.lymeresearchcenter.com] Facebook [https://www.facebook.com/LymeResearchCenter/] Instagram [https://www.instagram.com/lymeresearchcenter/] LinkedIn [https://www.linkedin.com/company/109250078/]   Follow, rate, and review Dr. Cindy on Apple [https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-positively-altered-podcast/id1773804535] and Spotify [https://open.spotify.com/show/7429Yj7FlC3O6WhgmzAWas]!
