Well, well, well—it has been a very long moment since we have posted a new episode. If anyone is still out there, welcome back! This episode was recorded a while ago and has been sitting gathering dust for over a month, but here we are … finally. Life has been more than a little full and it has been hard to find a rhythm, but feeling a little nudge to be a bit more intentional. That is always the dance—positioning ourselves intentionally before Him and responding as best as we can where we are—while still holding loosely and not allowing anything to become a weight He isn't asking us to carry. Not only is that always the tension in this walk of faith, it is also a bit of what this episode is about: Dialing in AND letting go. Being led always by His presence and not our own list of "shoulds" but also moving when, where, and how He leads us. Really it is “…laying aside every weight and the sin that so easily snares us, as we run with endurance the weight set before us.” —(paraphrase of Heb 12:1). We'd love to know how you are running with endurance so far in 2026. Episode "Oh Lord, I Want to See!" Cover

"Oh Lord, I Want to See!"

"Oh Lord, I want to see!" That was the response of blind Bartimaeus after Jesus stopped and directly asked Bartimaeus what he wanted Jesus to do for him. But what do you want Him to do for you? Are you asking Him for what you really want, or has waiting and disappointment caused you to dial your prayers down to something that seems a bit more reasonable and realistic? These are some of the questions we're asking in this week's episode. It's true that Jesus said "Blessed are those who believe and yet have not seen," but sometimes we DO need to see. We need to see not in order to believe, but because we HAVE believed. So grab a cup of coffee, listen in, and open your own heart to what He might be asking you today. We'd love for you to share your thoughts on this week's episode. What do YOU really want? What are YOU believing Him for? Intentions, Interruptions, and Identity w/ Sue Robson

Who doesn't love a good alliteration? But it just so happens these particular words don't just go together alliteratively, they also happen to perfectly describe our first podcast conversation of the year. Sue Robson joins the conversation today and while we started out talking about intentions for the new year and how we always need to be mindful of divine interruptions along the way, the Holy Spirit jumped in to prove the point by redirecting much of the conversation toward the topic of identity. We hope you'll grab a cup of coffee and come along for the ride! If you'd like to learn more about Sue, you can follow her on Instagram here [instagram.com/suerhills] or explore coaching opportunities with her through Life Source Coaches here [https://www.lifesourcecoaches.com/]. We'd love to know what you are sensing for the coming year and how you see God moving in your community. Episode Repositioning Cover

Repositioning

When a cruise ship moves out of one area at the end of its season to a new locale for a new season, it's called repositioning. Repositioning represents the space in-between two seasons—you’re not in the old place, but you haven’t quite arrived in the new season either. Could it be that the Church has been in a time of repositioning? Maybe what has felt like being adrift has really been a steady and intentional process of repositioning? That's the possibility we’re exploring in this week’s episode. So grab yourself a “year-end” cup of coffee and listen in for a few thoughts on the process of repositioning and what could be ahead for a Church learning follow the ark and seek first His Kingdom We'd love to know what you are sensing for the coming year and how you see God moving in your community. Finding Christmas Quiet w/ Cindy Powell, Tracy Brown, and Nick In't Hout

When you hear the term “Christmas Quiet” what do you think about? If you're like most people, you probably conjure up some kind of tranquil setting that belongs on a Hallmark card, rather than the busy—and often loud and chaotic —reality of most of our lives. But what if finding Christmas quiet isn’t about eliminating the noise and mess of our day-to-day lives? What if it is more about eliminating unnecessary excess and unrealistic expectations so we can grasp moments of beauty and meaning right smack in the middle of the crazy? That is the topic of this week's episode. Tracy Brown and Nick In't Hout are in the house to add their own reflections on things we can all do to lay hold of extraordinary moments of grace in the midst of of our ordinary and, often, overfull lives. You won't want to miss this practical and encouraging conversation! If you'd like to share some of the ways you are laying hold of those beautiful holy moments in the midst of your everyday life, please send an email to: thearisingglobal@gmail.com [thearisingglobal@gmail.com] We would love to hear from you! If you’d like to join the zoom meeting for “Christmas Quiet” that we referenced in the episode, we will continue to meet for the next two Tuesday mornings and the link can be accessed at prayerhouseonthezoom.com [prayerhouseonthezoom.com] For any Bible nerds who were wondering - the time between Babylon and Bethlehem was about 500 years - so Nick was close!
