Scrap to Sculpture: Patrick Mulondo’s Inspiring Journey of Survival and Hope

Tune in today to hear from the incredible Patrick Mulondo! I had the unique chance to sit down with him in my own kitchen, a rare in-person moment given that we’re usually countries apart. Patrick shares his story of resilience and hope, from surviving Uganda’s streets after losing his mother and siblings to AIDS and malaria, to becoming an internationally acclaimed artist. Known for transforming scrap metal into powerful, expressive sculptures, Patrick’s work speaks of hope and renewal—giving new life to discarded materials, much like his faith has renewed his own life and given him hope. Beyond his art, he gives back by donating life-saving mosquito nets and medicine to those in need, supporting local children's education, and mentoring young artists on their own creative journeys. So grateful for this brother!
