The Riverchase Readings
Galatians 5:16–25 contrasts two ways of life: living according to the desires of the flesh or walking by the Spirit. Paul teaches that those who belong to Christ are called to reject sinful behaviors and instead bear the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. This passage reminds believers that the Christian life is not about mere rule-keeping, but about being transformed by the Spirit into the likeness of Christ.
