On this season finale of the Score Keepers, we’ll be speaking with jazz  and big band composer Olivia Murphy. Olivia is a British composer  focusing on a fusion of through-written and improvisational composition.  She is the leader and founder of the Olivia Murphy Jazz Orchestra – a  19-piece big band performing in London and Birmingham. The orchestra won  the Peter Whittingham Development Award in 2022 which funded a live  recorded EP. Olivia has won numerous awards including the Jazzlife  Alliance Young Composer Award, among others. Micah has conducted  notable ensembles including The Orchestra Now, the Curtis Symphony  Orchestra, and the Eastern Festival Orchestra; served as the assistant  conductor of opera productions for Opera Philadelphia, the Bard Graduate  Vocal Arts Program, Curtis Opera Theater, and The Glimmerglass  Festival.
