Think Twice Show
The story of humanity has always been a violent one. For millenia, empires have risen and fallen based on conquest, and war has been an ever present feature of modern politics. In 2026, nothing seems to have changed- the US has most recently started a war with Iran and every missile dropped is causing untold human suffering. In this net positive or not episode, we analyse the phenomena of violence through both a geopolitical and individual lens. We start by discussing self defence and personal protection- how are you supposed to protect yourself in a dangerous world? Is aggression a valid deterrence- is it fair to behave aggressively towards others, but also does it actually work? Here we discuss Sapolsky, human nature and Max Weber In segment two, we discuss the geopolitical landscape of 2026- Trump is distancing the US from the EU and threatening to leave NATO, which would expose European countries militarily. What does this mean for Europe and specifically for us as Diasporans living in Europe. Here we discuss Europe’s obligations to the US and the fate of Africa on a potentially highly militarised world stage. Enjoy ❤️
