Beschreibung

Katiah and Timitri get back on the mics to reconnect and hash out updates after a short hiatus filled with endless illness and ever changing health concerns. Timitri talks about his fears for his upcoming procedure (snip, snip) and healing his body from what he thought would be a lifelong diagnosis, while Katiah discusses continued health struggles in the family and the possibility that toxins in the home could be the culprit. The duo announce upcoming guest episodes, exciting and not-so-fun things happening in life, and how the busy season is no longer season and truly just LIFE. Featuring a cameo from their 2 year old and 6 month old because recording a podcast doesn't mean parenting stops. I mean, This IS Normal(ish) :) Thank you for continuing to support our podcast! Episode Navigating "Cloudy" Parenting with Kendall Concini-Moore Cover

Navigating "Cloudy" Parenting with Kendall Concini-Moore

This is Normal(ish) is joined by Kendall Concini-Moore -- a mental health advocate, mom of two, and a children's book author. Kendall, Katiah and Timitri talk about depression in parenting: how we adapt ourselves, work on our mental health, and learn to also name it for our children. Kendall's book "Mom's Cloud and the Beach Adventure" helps bridge the gap between adults and children to open up discussions about mental health, give it a physical representation, and allow children to understand the importance of talking about these things openly. We discuss parenting challenges and dynamics in family that will hopefully allow our children to grow up without so many emotional barriers and instead have support and guidance to work through these things at an early age. You can find Kendall in Instagram and Threads @CloudyDayChronicles or visit her website for more information or connection! Link to Kendall's book "Mom's Cloud and the Beach Adventure" https://cloudydaychronicles.org/books/ [https://cloudydaychronicles.org/books/] We are doing a GIVEAWAY for our listeners! Episode Adult Friendships and Matching Energies Cover

Adult Friendships and Matching Energies

This Is Normal(ish) is back and discussing adult friendships and how surprisingly challenging they can be. Not only finding people you can relate to, but letting go of fear of embarrassment or failure that holds us back from even attempting to make new connections. In this episode we get to the root of adult challenges and the deep impact the school system has on individuality and creativity: two things that can help us connect to other people outside of our "circles" in the adult world. One of the many reasons we find homeschooling so beneficial for our family. As usual, we take deep dives into other parts of our day to day, the past that made us who we are, and the funny moments that keep us going (like Timitri buying a Russian spy drone by accident and the government highjacking it -- random, we know). Thank you for your continual support as we continue to find our groove with this podcasting journey -- we are so lucky to have your ear.
