Addiction: Voluntary Slavery?

Medically, addiction is a treatable, chronic disease involving complex interactions among brain circuits, genetics, the environment, and an individual’s life experiences.  Biblically, addiction is ‘voluntary slavery.’  In other words, we make decisions to indulge in certain behaviors, and those decisions can make us a slave to our sinful nature.  Our panel discusses how addiction is a destructive, dark pathway …  Thank you for listening! Suicide: There is a Better Option!

Every year, approximately 4,500 people commit suicide in Canada.  This is comparable to 12 people dying every day and for every person lost to suicide, more than 200 people in Canada attempt suicide with many more weighing the thought, ‘should I kill myself?’  To those who are in that state of mind, be assured, there is an answer to that question ...
