Thus saith the Lord
Why is humanity incapable of saving itself? Why must a man be born again? In this lesson, we examine the corruption inherited through Adam and God's answer through the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible reveals that man's problem is deeper than sinful actions—it is a corrupt nature inherited from Adam. Because of this corruption, no amount of self-reformation, religious effort, law-keeping, or good works can restore man to God. God's solution was not to improve Adam's fallen race but to create an entirely new creation through an incorruptible birth. We explore Christ's deity, the divine nature He came to impart, and the necessity of the new birth performed by the Holy Ghost. Through faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work, sinners are made sons of God through an incorruptible seed that can never be corrupted by sin or death. This lesson concludes by demonstrating that salvation is far more than deliverance from judgment. It is God's work of creating a new race of sons through Jesus Christ and restoring fallen man to fellowship with the Father through the new birth.
