Hello one and all, and welcome back to another episode of Trophy Talk. On this month's episode Colin is joined by Kevin Garaventa and Will AKA Sqweezy from down under! After what has been a difficult week personally for both Colin and Will, the prospect of gathering around the proverbial hearth and talking about trophies and video games was a much needed reprieve, and one the boys were all too happy to take advantage of. We start off the episode by looking forward and backward at what recent episodes have hit the network, and what is to come. Kevin is very hot indeed on Metal Eden and by the time this episode releases, he will already be recording his thoughts on the game for May's PS Plus Game Club. Colin is also excited after a pretty mid experience with Tormented Souls to get to something more light hearted and fun in Luigi's Mansion 2 for May's Surviving the Horror, and Will is looking forward to his future streaming and YouTube videos on his own channel. After introductions the crew discusses their favorite trophies earned in the last month, what we've been playing, answers Patron write ins and also gives our customary Platinum Shout Outs. The bulk of our discussion here centers around what game we would erase from history if we could, and how we think Marathon is performing now that it's been in the wild for a few months time. If Steam charts are any indication, Marathon has roughly 1/3rd the daily active user base of Helldivers 2 which came out 2 years ago at this point. Is the small but hardcore community enough for the game to find continued success? Lastly the team gives some initial thoughts and a gut check on Saros, the newest console exclusive from Housemarque and a spiritual successor to Returnal. Surviving The Horror - Episode 24: Tormented Souls

Join Josh, Max and Kevin as they discuss a little known indie-horror gem called "Tormented Souls". The boys in this episode dive deep into the good and bad of the game, to include the mind-warping lore, the S-Tier puzzles, combat and more. Many of us who played this came away impressed from many of the design choices in this game. If you like Resident Evil or Silent Hill, this should absolutely be on your radar. Enjoy the episode!

Warmest of Welcomes everybody! Max and Zac continue their quest to diversify their guest chair roster this time joined by Jordan Vickers and Kade for a 2nd instalment in community catch up. In this episode the boys take a more traditional Trophy Talk Podcast approach to the run of the show. The boys kick off the show with a pretty neat and impressive community highlights of platinum shoutouts followed by the latest instalment of the ever growing favourite Cactuar Vs Tonberry where Jordan issues Max a pretty unorthodox but legal challenge and Zac takes the humble win for the round, is the weight of the challenge starting to stack on Max? Max issues a public apology to a patron of the network. The boys then jump into a handful of listener inquiries where Kade gives one of famous rants on PS5 price increases. Max lists his biggest gaming regrets made during the PS3 era. Finally the boys end on what we’ve been playing, where Max returns to 2025 GOTY Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 for a milestone platinum 150. Kade keeps getting dragged back to Marvel Rivals, Jordan finds himself in a gaming slump after RE9 and Zac sweeps up with 3 platinums obtained since last episode. The Mooglecast continues to evolve injecting itself with more sound clips, the feedback on these is much appreciated. PS Plus Game Club - Episode 40: The Invincible

This time Kevin has Josh from the Trophy Talk Podcast and Jordan from The Sage Temple on to talk about The Invincible, a game based on the book of the same name by Stanislaw Lem. They start by talking about their first impressions of the game and how it wasn’t what any of them were expecting. They have a general discussion and review of the game, and then provide a few recommendations similar to it. After that they go through an in-depth breakdown of the entire story of the game and all the surprising reveals it has in store. They also have a deep discussion of which of the eleven different endings could be the one true ending, and what the implications of it mean. Trophy Talk Podcast - Episode 143: A Desert Oasis

Hello one and all, and welcome back to another episode of Trophy Talk! After a few month hiatus Colin returns to the hosting chair, along side Josh of course. Together, they discuss the most recent round of PlayStation hardware price hikes and speculate on what this could mean for the launch of PS6 and the impending launch of Grand Theft Auto 6. From there, Josh and Colin dig into a new game that has been getting quite a bit of media attention lately, Crimson Desert. The contentious initial reviews and impressions of Crimson Desert, mixed with some truly positive analysis and recommendations from players make Crimson Desert a great flash point for examining the do's and don'ts of modern game design. Would you play a game that made you initially tap X to run in 2026? What if it's platinum was still unobtained and was speculated to be over 300 hours? Or, does none of that matter because the point of something like Crimson Desert is to allow you to get lost and build your own stories and adventures in its sandbox? On top of all of that Josh and Colin of course get into some Platinum shout outs, and what they've been playing. Josh has been trying his hand at the aforementioned Crimson Desert and unsurprisingly has quite a bit to say about it. Both Josh and Colin sunk their teeth into Resident Evil Requiem, and Colin has spent a lot of time in the walking sim / graphic novel territory with both Telltales: The Expanse, and Star Trek: Resurgence.
