Windows 10 life extended if you pay, VMware piggybacks on KVM, and happy birthday to Notepad++!

Microsoft offered to extend the life of Windows 10 for home users, for that sweet, sweet money. $30 to be exact. But at least the Windows 11 haters have somewhere they can stay. For a while. VMware decided to ditch its proprietary Workstation virtualization tech and piggyback on good ole KVM. And happy birthday to both Notepad++ and LetsEncrypt, who turned 21 and 10 respectively.
