Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2471101/fan_mail/new] Every community has a bloodline. Not one written in DNA. One written in stories. In music. In dance floors. In drag dressing rooms. In basements where the speakers rattled the walls until sunrise. In houses built by people who chose each other when the world refused to. This is the story of Baltimore. Not the Baltimore on the postcards. The Baltimore that taught generations of queer people how to survive, how to celebrate, and how to become family. Long before Pride was a corporate logo or a city-wide festival, there were underground spaces where queer people gathered to build something extraordinary. Ballroom houses became sanctuaries. Drag performers became historians. DJs became storytellers. Dance floors became churches. And through all of it, there was music. House music. A sound born in Black and Brown queer communities — carrying freedom, resistance, love, and belonging through every kick drum and piano stab. For a lot of us, the first time we truly felt seen wasn't in a classroom or a church. It was under a disco ball. It was a record that felt like it already knew our story. It was finding a house that took us in. It was learning that family could be chosen. In this episode, Boy Joey traces the living bloodline of Baltimore queer culture — from ballroom floors and drag stages to after-hours parties and the legendary DJs who shaped the city's sound. Because culture isn't inherited. It's passed hand to hand. Generation to generation. Track to track. House to house. Every time we gather on a dance floor, we step into a tradition older than ourselves. The music changes. The faces change. The venues change. But the bloodline remains. Welcome to The Bloodline. 🎧 We Arrive. We Remember. We Become. We Rise. — Movement II of IV 📍 Recorded live at The Baltimore Eagle | Baltimore, MD | June 13, 2026

Episode Pride 2026 - THE COMMUNION Cover

Pride 2026 - THE COMMUNION

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2471101/fan_mail/new] THE COMMUNION There comes a moment when a movement becomes a community. Not because of politics. Not because of institutions. But because people find each other. The Communion is a celebration of chosen family, queer nightlife, Pride gatherings, dance floors, house parties, and the sacred spaces that have brought our community together for generations. From packed clubs and festival grounds to intimate gatherings among friends, this chapter explores what happens when individual stories merge into something larger than themselves. Music becomes ritual. Joy becomes resistance. The dance floor becomes sacred ground. As part of the Pride Edition of Velvet Nation, The Communion honors the spaces, traditions, and people that remind us we were never meant to do this alone. Because Pride isn't just about being seen. It's about belonging. Welcome to The Communion. 🎧 We Arrive. We Remember. We Become. We Rise. — Movement III of IV 📍 Recorded live at The Baltimore Eagle | Baltimore, MD | June 13, 2026

Pride 2026 - THE ARRIVAL

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2471101/fan_mail/new] We Arrive. A special Pride Session of Velvet Nation with Boy Joey — recorded live at The Baltimore Eagle in Baltimore, MD on Saturday, June 13th, 2026. Movement I is the opening hour of a four-hour headlining set. The mission: claim the room. This is festival-grade peak energy — hands-up, defiant, joyful. We made it to another Pride. We are still here. The hour opens with the cinematic spoken-word anthem "One Heart," then climbs through Becky Hill, Avicii, and the modern peak-time canon, before landing on the emotional pivot point of the night: Andra Day's "Rise Up" layered with Harvey Milk's 1978 "You Gotta Give 'Em Hope" speech — the bridge that hands the room over to Movement II. This is what arrival sounds like. Defiance, joy, and the first declaration that this night is going to mean something. Featured tracks include: Boy Joey "One Heart," Becky Hill "Remember," Avicii "Levels," Andra Day × Harvey Milk "Rise Up / Give Them Hope" 🎧 We Arrive. We Remember. We Become. Episode BITCH / CUNT / TWAT / TWIRL Cover

BITCH / CUNT / TWAT / TWIRL

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2471101/fan_mail/new] This one is for the ballroom kids, the circuit demons, the late-night lovers, and everybody that knows a death drop absolutely counts as cardio. I wanted to put together something chaotic, glamorous, sweaty, and a little filthy for Pride season — so BITCH / CUNT / TWAT / TWIRL was born. This 22-minute Summer Preview Pack is my first full look into the next wave of music I’ve been building behind the scenes. Inside this mix I’m previewing six unreleased tracks: BITCH CUNT TWAT TWIRL MOTHER WERK SLAY Sonically this lives somewhere between progressive house, ballroom energy, mainstage euphoria, and afterhours attitude. Think chrome, pink lasers, blackout shades at sunrise, runway arrogance, and emotional damage hidden under really expensive boots. I wanted this mix to feel like walking into a dark room and immediately hearing somebody yell: “CATEGORY IS…” …and suddenly your life depends on the next eight counts. This is sweat on the dancefloor. This is lipstick on the cigarette filter. This is hands in the air while your knees give out. This is queer joy at dangerous BPMs. Welcome to summer. — Boy Joey
