Yaz discusses what inspired her to write about Palestinian youth activist Ahed Tamimi and why activism by Muslim women is not often represented without negative connotations. Chanju talks about the recent UAE Gender Balance Index Awards where not one single woman received an award and why she created her own list of Emirati women who deserved to be recognised. Chanju and Yaz chat about the difficulties POC women face in gaining exposure in mainstream media and history, and what we can do to help further their stories beyond writing articles.
