In this sidebar, I discuss the Take It Down Act that has been signed into federal law. I also discuss a new law specific to NC that goes into effect on July 1 and is aimed at educating employees of lodging facilities.

The Combs Enterprise- Diddy on Trial

In this episode, we go through the indictment for Sean "Diddy" Combs and relate it to things we learned in our human trafficking series. We discuss the different dynamics involved in such an enterprise and Diddy's far-reaching power. We talk about Diddy trying to control victims/witnesses while in custody and their narratives. We look into this power and control mindset and how it is indicative of an abuser/trafficker.

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month

On this episode, I am joined by Dr. Williams of SAFEchild, a Child Advocacy Center in Raleigh, NC.
