Beschreibung

This episode is a return — to the very reason this podcast exists in the first place. Where I Meet You was never meant to be polished or perfect. It was meant to be a place where I meet myself, in grief, in growth, in all my layers, and tell the truth about what I find there. So this one is me coming back to that. No big topic, no neat lesson — just an honest check-in on where I actually am right now: my feelings, my emotions, the current state of my life, said out loud instead of managed or smoothed over. It's a reset. A recommitment to using this show the way it was always meant to be used — as a mirror, not a performance. A place to hold myself accountable to my own honesty, even when that's uncomfortable, even when there's no tidy takeaway at the end. If you've ever needed permission to just say where you actually are instead of where you think you should be — this one's for you too.

Episode Episode 05: To Be Seen Cover

Episode 05: To Be Seen

There's a particular kind of hiding that doesn't look like hiding at all — it looks like skipping the photo, choosing the back row, letting your body take up less space in a room you have every right to fill. In this episode, I'm getting honest about the weight gain I've been navigating and the quiet way it's made me want to disappear. It came into sharp focus on a recent trip to Arizona. Somewhere between the trip I'd been looking forward to and the camera I kept avoiding, I realized how much energy I was spending trying to be unseen — and how exhausting that has become. This episode is me sitting with that discomfort instead of editing it out. We talk about where that urge to vanish really comes from, and how it slowly turns into something else: a meditation on what it actually means to be seen — by others, and by ourselves. Because being seen, at its core, is being loved. And before anyone else can offer us that, we have to be willing to look at ourselves first — all of it, the parts we're proud of and the parts we'd rather crop out — and meet ourselves there with love instead of judgment. This one's a tender one. As always, one micro moment at a time. In this episode: * The vacation moment that cracked something open for me * Why I've been avoiding the camera — and what that avoidance is really protecting * The link between disappearing and not feeling worthy of being seen * Reframing "being seen" as an act of love, starting with ourselves * An invitation to look at yourself — fully — with more compassion

Episode 04: Choosing Yourself

Choosing Yourself What does it really mean to choose yourself—and why can it feel so uncomfortable when you do? In this episode, we explore the quiet tension between who we’ve been expected to be and who we’re becoming. Choosing yourself isn’t always loud or obvious. Sometimes it looks like setting a boundary no one else understands, outgrowing roles that once felt safe, or finally listening to the voice you’ve been ignoring. This isn’t about perfection or having it all figured out. It’s about honesty, responsibility, and the willingness to stand in your own life—even when it changes things. If you’ve been feeling the pull to choose differently, this is a space to sit with that. You don’t have to rush the decision.  But you do have to hear yourself.
