Father Anthony with Cristina and Tony regroup today after the weekend to discuss the goings on, and people in the Parish.  Father greets everyone and chats a bit about his contemplating whether he is too negative, whether he offers light and hope as he is called to do.  While he speaks truth and does not sugarcoat things, he recognizes that he needs to offer hope and welcomes critique or reprimand as priest are not above it. The trio discusses the reality of speaking truth and how the vast majority of people do not want to hear truth and would rather be blissfully ignorant.  After prayer, Father focuses on the reading from Sunday from the Gospel of Matthew. He speaks to Jesus’ explanation of the parable and unpacks it.  Father shares quotes from past popes and addresses how prophetic they are and how some of them had direct impact to him and his journey.  Father points out that we would be wise to stay focused on prayer and pray incessantly praying the Jesus prayer which is taken right out of scripture.  He states how he truly wants to be a saint, how he wants for us, through him, to come to Christ.   St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish [https://ststanschurch.org/]

Episode #4874 Summer Fun and Relaxation

It’s Monday and Lauretta has her mind on all sorts of things this summer. She gives a shout out of congratulations to the Vance family on the new addition to their family, baby boy Alec.  She asks the prayer warriors to lift up the recently killed service members and their families and reminds all the prayer warriors to keep at it as the world needs peace. Lauretta could not do the show today without mentioning the World Cup-what excitement, the game, the players, the coaches, the fans and the delight of foreigners reveling in the USA!  While promoting summer fun and relaxation to all, Lauretta discusses her summer trip to Rome, her love of the beach and pool and her summer reading.  She makes it a point to promote reading over the summer as she encourages you to include reading selections that break out the scriptures in such a way to promote a stronger relationship with God.  Lauretta then takes a look at the Saints of this week, the beauty of their lives and contributions. Episode #4873 The Sword of St. Michael

Father Anthony with Cristina and Tony, gather to discuss the goings on, and people in the Parish.  Father Anthony is joined by his guest Alice Babij (Bobby) today.  Father greets everyone and they briefly chat about the current conditions with the air quality being impacted by fires and then he mentions his renewed focus on the church now that the school has closed.  After prayer, Father continues his discussion from yesterday focusing on discipleship bringing Alice into that discussion.  He calls on us to consider how we navigate living our faith in these diabolical times.  For us to consider how we really become disciples-do we actually consider ourselves disciples while reminding us that we are disciples by nature of our baptism.  After a break, Father welcomes back Alice Babij (Bobby) who introduces the book “The Sword of St. Michael”, by Rev Scott Haynes.  The book explores the mysterious alignment of seven churches across Europe that appear to represent a sword.  The book explores this alignment as it delves into historical details, miracles and spiritual significance of the sanctuaries.  The book is available at priestlypress.com.   St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish [https://ststanschurch.org/] priestlypress.com

Father Anthony with Tony and Cristina gather to discuss the goings on, and people in the Parish. Father greets everyone and chats about the current state of things asking us “do we think ourselves disciples?”  This leads the trio to discuss discipleship, what it is and how we foster our relationship with God.  The group shares key events and people that contributed to their faith formation. Episode #4871 Fr. Koys Tackles Feminism in Christianity (Reair051326)

Father Koys takes us on another “brain wrinkling” walk as he tackles feminism in Christianity.  He welcomes author Carrie Gress to discuss her book on the topic titled “Something Wicked: Why Feminism Can’t Be fused with Christianity”.  Together they tackle the topic and highlight some of the points made in the book. They touch on the seven elements of feminism and the creation of a shadow church as feminism seems to act as a religion of its own.
