A Father's Legacy

Simon, from the city of Cyrene, carried the cross of Jesus after it was placed upon him. Though the burden was unexpected, his act of service became part of the story of Christ’s journey to the cross. Simon’s faithfulness also left a meaningful legacy for his sons, Alexander and Rufus, who later became active workers in the early church following the resurrection of Jesus.

God Specializes in Impossible Path

The Israelites stood trapped — the Red Sea in front of them, Pharaoh’s army thundering behind them. No path forward, no path back. By every human measure, they were finished. Drowning or destruction seemed like their only options. But they cried out to the Lord. And the God who hears, sees, and delivers stepped in. He didn’t just make a way — He created a path no one had ever seen before. He parted the Red Sea and led His people through on dry ground, silencing every threat behind them.

You Intended to Hurt Me, But God Turned it Around

There are moments in life when people’s actions cut deep — when motives are questioned, trust is broken, and harm feels intentional. But even then, God has a way of stepping into the very places meant to break us and turning them into platforms that build us. “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good…” Genesis 50:20 What a reminder that no plot, no betrayal, no setback can override the purpose of God. He is the Master of divine reversals. He takes what was meant to destroy you and transforms it into the very thing that elevates you. Joseph didn’t just survive the harm — he outgrew it, outlived it, and outlasted it. And in the end, God used his pain to save many lives. Your story isn’t over. Your hurt isn’t wasted. Your God is still working. What was meant for evil will become the testimony that blesses others. Triumph Over Evil

There are moments in life when the world feels upside down — when evil seems loud, suffering seems endless, and God seems silent. And in those moments, honest hearts ask honest questions: “If God is all-powerful and all-loving, why does He stand by? Why does He allow the reign of terror, the spread of disease, the triumph of cruelty? On this Resurrection weekend, we’re reminded that forgiveness is free to us—but it was never cheap. The cross shows us the true cost: a Savior who loved us enough to pay the price we never could. Because Jesus gave His life, we can walk in freedom. Because He rose again, we can live with hope. Because He paid it all, we can forgive others the way He forgave us—fully, freely, and from the heart. Easter calls us to remember the sacrifice, receive the grace, and reflect that same mercy to those around us. Forgiveness is not weakness; it is the echo of Calvary alive in us.
