Welcome back to Zelocast – Glow with the Flow! This week, we're taking the microphones outdoors and soaking in the fresh air at the scenic Bedok Reservoir—a place packed with memories, laughter, and maybe one or two embarrassing stories we'd rather forget. 🌳🎙️ Before the chaos begins, we're celebrating some fantastic news for Singapore! 🎉 The newly opened Magical Bridge Playground in Tampines is setting a new standard for inclusive play, featuring the country's first wheelchair-accessible slide and thoughtful "hideaway huts" where children can take a quiet breather whenever they need one. Because every child deserves a place to play, belong, and have fun together. 💛 But now… onto the real adventure. Alex takes us back to his unforgettable dragon boating days, and trust us—these stories are worth the paddle! 🚣‍♂️ Ever wondered how a dragon boat team trained during COVID? Imagine a bunch of athletes sitting in front of Zoom, doing rowing exercises from their dining rooms while enthusiastically performing "Buddha claps." It looked less like elite sports and more like synchronized living room aerobics. 😂 And that's just the beginning… 🧹 The Dust Mop Disaster On one unforgettable training day, Alex confidently grabbed what he thought was his paddle… only to arrive carrying a dust mop instead. Somehow, nobody stopped him before he made the entire journey. 🚣 The Legendary Backward Race The Naga Merah team paddled with so much passion—and so little synchronisation—that they accidentally rowed backwards toward the starting line while thinking they were charging to victory. Teamwork makes the dream work… eventually. ☀️ The K-Pop Retirement Plan So why did Alex retire from dragon boating? According to him, preserving his precious fair skin and maintaining his "K-pop boy" look was simply more important than battling the blazing Singapore sun. Priorities. 😎 From hilarious training mishaps to unforgettable team moments, this episode celebrates friendship, resilience, and the beautiful chaos that happens when everyone rows together—even if it's occasionally in the wrong direction. So come paddle along with us for an episode packed with laughs, memories, and enough rowing stories to make your arms tired just listening. ✨ Together we make a difference. Win or lose, we are still champions. 📚 This episode is proudly brought to you by Picture The Book! What if a story could be felt, imagined, and seen — all at the same time? Founded by blind author Sherry Eri, Picture The Book is changing the way children experience stories. Through rich, vivid descriptions and catchy rhythms, these books allow children who are blind to “see” through words, while sighted kids enjoy the colourful illustrations alongside them. 💛 One story. Episode 52 : Our 1st Year Anniversary!

Can you believe it, ZeloFam? We've officially turned ONE! 🥳🎂 What started on 30 June 2025 as a simple idea has grown into 52 episodes of laughter, tears, life lessons, unforgettable guests, and plenty of hilarious "Alex moments." Looking back, it's hard to believe how far we've’ve come! From recording with the simplest audio setup to building our own home studio (complete with those fluffy "bulu" microphones 😆), and eventually stepping into the world of video podcasts around Episode 45, it's been one incredible journey. But the biggest transformation wasn't our equipment... It was us. When we first started, most of us were quiet, shy, and honestly a little nervous in front of the microphone. Fast forward one year, and we've learned to laugh louder, speak more confidently, and most importantly, share our stories from the heart. This milestone is also the perfect time to say THANK YOU to everyone behind the scenes. To Mr. Engineer, who somehow makes us sound smarter than we really are. To little Chantiq, who has grown into our cutest guest, toughest judge, and occasional interviewer. And to every family member, friend, guest, listener, subscriber, and supporter who believed in this little podcast that started as a "one-man show" with a big dream. Over the past year, we've been privileged to sit down with some truly inspiring people—from Paralympians and community leaders to musicians, authors, families, and friends. Every guest has reminded us that disability doesn't define a person's future. With determination, self-belief, and the right support system, anyone can build a meaningful, independent, and fulfilling life. We've also learned something important ourselves... Success isn't always about winning medals, becoming famous, or achieving something huge. Sometimes success is finally cooking your first meal... Learning to wash the toilet by yourself... Travelling independently... Or simply finding the confidence to speak up and tell your own story. Every small victory deserves to be celebrated. 💛 And because no Zelocast anniversary would be complete without a little friendly chaos, we wrap up the episode with a hilarious game of Concentration 64! Let's just say... remembering lyrics is apparently much harder than hosting a podcast. 😂 Thank you for being part of our first year. Here's to many more conversations, more laughter, more music, more inspiring guests, and more opportunities to Glow with the Flow. ✨ Together we make a difference. Win or lose, we are still champions. 📚 This episode is proudly brought to you by Picture The Book! What if a story could be felt, imagined, and seen — all at the same time? Episode 50 : Anisah's Journey, A Voice That Inspires

Welcome to a very special milestone — Episode 50 of Zelocast – Glow with the Flow! 🎉 Fifty episodes in, we've laughed together, cried together, shared our stories, and celebrated inclusion every step of the way. And for this milestone episode, we're honoured to welcome a very special guest who has been capturing hearts across social media with her incredible talent and infectious personality — Anisah! 🎤✨ If you've come across her viral singing videos, you'll already know why so many people are talking about her. But behind that beautiful voice is an inspiring story of resilience, determination, family support, and staying true to yourself. In this episode, Anisah takes us behind the scenes of her journey — from singing in the bathroom just to enjoy the echo, to performing on major stages and building a growing fanbase online. She also shares the ups and downs of adjusting to Secondary 1 life, including a hilarious "tongue slip" during her PSLE oral examination that still makes everyone laugh today. 😆 But this episode isn't just about music. Joining us are Anisah's parents, Mr. Sufian and Mdm. Nurul, who open up about their family's journey raising two visually impaired children. They speak honestly about the emotions they faced when they first received the diagnosis, the challenges along the way, and how those difficult moments eventually transformed into strength, gratitude, and purpose. What begins as a conversation quickly turns into a beautiful reminder that every family's story is unique, and that love often grows strongest through life's greatest challenges. 💙 Since Father's Day is also just around the corner, we couldn't let the opportunity pass without celebrating the fathers who quietly stand behind the scenes. One of the most touching moments comes when Anisah shares a heartfelt tribute to her dad — thanking him for the countless drives to rehearsals, performances, and events, and for always believing in her dreams even before anyone else did. The emotions continue as Zyana reflects on her own late father, sharing memories of the man who was her greatest supporter and source of strength before his passing three years ago. And just when you think the episode couldn't get any more special... 🎶 Anisah takes the microphone and leaves the entire studio speechless with a breathtaking live performance of "My Heart Will Go On." Trust us — this is a performance you won't want to miss. This milestone episode is filled with laughter, tears, inspiration, family, friendship, and a powerful reminder that our greatest abilities often come from the people who believe in us. ✨ Together we make a difference. Win or lose, we are still champions. 📚 This episode is proudly brought to you by Picture The Book! What if a story could be felt, imagined, and seen — all at the same time? Episode 49 : Road Trip to JDT!

This week on Zelocast – Glow with the Flow, we're taking the podcast out of the studio and across the Causeway for a special road-trip adventure to Johor Bahru! 🇸🇬➡️🇲🇾 With alarms set at an absolutely ridiculous 3:00 AM, the team packed our bags, grabbed our passports, and headed north for a long-weekend getaway to the iconic Sultan Ibrahim Stadium — home of the mighty JDT, the Southern Tigers. 🐯⚽ Now, we won't lie... the trip started with mixed emotions. Just hours earlier, Alex and Mr. Engineer were still recovering from Arsenal's heartbreaking defeat to PSG. The wounds were fresh. The pain was real. The tears... may or may not have happened. 😭⚽ But the moment we arrived at JDT's stunning crown-shaped stadium, the football blues slowly disappeared. As a die-hard JDT supporter, Alex may have slightly lost control at the merchandise store. By "slightly," we mean he somehow came home with THREE jerseys, a cap, a cup, keychains, and enough souvenirs to start his own mini club shop. 😅 The biggest surprise of the trip? We got to experience the VIP treatment usually reserved for football stars by riding in the famous JDT Hummer Limousine! 🚘✨ Naturally, we spent the entire ride waving out the windows like celebrities arriving for a cup final. The best part? This incredible experience is provided FREE for the PWD community — a wonderful example of inclusion done right. Of course, this wouldn't be a Zelocast adventure without at least one moment of pure chaos. While exploring the stadium grounds, Alex confidently took a step forward... and immediately plunged one leg into a decorative pond. 💦😂 Apparently, his trusted "GPS" (also known as his white cane) decided to take a short break that day. The result? One wet leg, one shocked Alex, and one memory the rest of us will never let him forget. Along the way, we talk about: ⚽ Football passion and heartbreak 🚦 Surviving 3 AM border traffic 🎁 Collecting way too much football merchandise ♿ Accessibility and inclusion in sports venues 😂 Travel mishaps and unforgettable moments ❤️ Why the best journeys are about the people you share them with From border jams to stadium tours, laughter to football therapy, this episode reminds us that sometimes happiness isn't found in the destination — it's found in the adventure itself. ✨ Together we make a difference. Win or lose, we are still champions. 📚 This episode is proudly brought to you by Picture The Book! What if a story could be felt, imagined, and seen — all at the same time? Episode Episode 48 : Join us for Dinner! Cover

Episode 48 : Join us for Dinner!

This week on Zelocast – Glow with the Flow, we've swapped our usual studio setup for something much more important... food! 😋 Join us as we record straight from a Western restaurant in Singapore, where the microphones are on, the food is arriving, and Alex is making what may be the biggest decision of his adult life: ordering penne with prawns instead of his usual fish and chips. Brave? Reckless? You decide. Meanwhile, Zyana is armed with a bowl of spicy Tom Yum soup, hoping it can do what weeks of medication haven't quite managed yet—finally clear her throat once and for all. 🌶️🔥 As dinner is served, we get into the real-life challenges of dining out when you can't see the menu. From waiters asking, "What would you like?" before telling us what's available, to secretly studying menus through GrabFood before we even leave home, we share the tricks we've learned to stay independent and confident when eating out. The conversation also takes a nostalgic turn as we revisit our school days and the legendary "Aunties" who absolutely refused to let us eat with our hands. Thanks to them, we became experts at deboning fish and navigating chicken wings using only a spoon and fork. Survival skills unlocked. 🍗🥄 We also bust one of the biggest myths we hear all the time: that blind people who dine in restaurants must be rich. The reality? Sometimes restaurants are simply easier to navigate than crowded hawker centres where finding a seat, carrying food, and avoiding collisions can feel like an extreme sport. From Alex's highly questionable prawn-eating technique (which may involve more shell than prawn) to our unwavering faith that Arsenal are always one season away from greatness, this episode is packed with food, laughter, memories, and real conversations about independence. So pull up a chair, grab your favourite meal, and join us for a dinner conversation that's equal parts heartwarming and hilarious. ✨ Together we make a difference. Win or lose, we are still champions. 📚 This episode is proudly brought to you by Picture The Book! What if a story could be felt, imagined, and seen — all at the same time?
