Ahmad Deeb is a psychologist, imam, and community development leader with a diverse educational and professional background. He earned his PhD in Psychology and a Master’s in Islamic Studies, combining rigorous academic training with deep spiritual insight. Ahmad Deeb grew up in Florida, influenced by his father Shaykh Abdallah Deeb—an established community leader—and his grandfather Dr. Sheikh Ramadan Deeb, a respected scholar in Damascus. Despite his scholarly heritage, he experienced a transformative spiritual awakening during his university years, deepened by engaging with prominent teachers including Shaykh Hamza Yusuf and Shaykh Muhammad bin Yahya al-Husayni al-Ninowy. Following his undergraduate studies, Ahmad attended the Madina Institute’s pilot program in Cape Town, South Africa, and later pursued seminary training at Bayan Islamic Graduate School in Claremont, California. This blend of experiences equipped him to serve effectively across spiritual, educational, and psychological domains. Today, Ahmad Deeb serves as the imam and director at the Islamic Center of Greater Toledo, one of North America’s oldest Muslim communities. He is co-founder of Pillars Seminary, an institution devoted to foundational Islamic sciences for professionals, and Itqaan Institute, which cultivates Qur’anic mastery and spiritual connection alongside his father. Additionally, Ahmad co-founded Shifaa Community and contributes as a teacher at Pillars Seminary. He offers counseling services and actively engages in community development and youth mentorship. His multifaceted contributions reflect a commitment to bridging psychology, faith, and social empowerment. Over the past decade, Ahmad Deeb has built a reputation for combining scholarly insight with practical outreach. Whether leading congregational worship, guiding spiritual seekers, or offering psychological support, he anchors his work in authenticity, compassion, and depth. As a speaker and author, Ahmad addresses themes such as spiritual identity, emotional wellbeing in Muslim communities, and the role of reliable scholarship in personal transformation. He continues to shape both local and global conversations on faith, mental health, and community cohesion.
