Andrew Beal is an internationally read author, photographer, and faith-driven storyteller whose work explores resilience, identity, and the transforming power of grace in the midst of real-life struggle. He was born in Tyumen, Siberia, and abandoned at birth—spending his earliest months in an orphanage before being adopted and brought to the United States. What began in uncertainty became a life shaped by faith, perseverance, and a steady conviction: even the most difficult beginnings can be redeemed. Beal is the author of 11 books spanning memoir, devotional writing, and visual storytelling. His works include God’s Path: From Siberia to the United States; God’s Path: The Boy From Siberia; Secondary Polycythemia: Faith and Strength in the Fight; The Rosary with the Saints (Volumes I–III); The Rooms That Said No; and the photography series America, Unquiet (Volumes I–IV). His storytelling is personal, direct, and unflinching—shaped by lived experience with illness, anxiety, and a rare blood condition, secondary polycythemia. Rather than offering distance or perfection, his work stays close to the reality of struggle, capturing the quiet, often unseen battles that shape a life—and the grace that carries it forward. Through his writing, photography, and the Catholic Talks with Andrew Beal podcast, he does not offer easy answers. Instead, he offers something steadier: presence, clarity, and a faith that holds even when life does not. His message is simple, but enduring: no life begins by accident, and no story is beyond redemption.

As we celebrate the feast of Saint Isidore the Farmer, we discover how a simple man working in the fields became a saint—not through fame or extraordinary achievements, but through faithful surrender to God in the hidden moments of daily life. We also enter more deeply into the beauty of the Month of Mary and reflect on the 153-Day Fatima journey from May to October—a path of prayer, conversion, and spiritual renewal that invites us to place our lives more fully into the hands of Christ through the Rosary. episode Palm Sunday: The Day We Chose Barabbas… and Christ Chose Us cover

Palm Sunday: The Day We Chose Barabbas… and Christ Chose Us

In this powerful episode, Andrew Beal takes you beyond the surface of waving palms and into the heart of a sobering truth: the same voices that cried “Hosanna” would soon cry “Crucify Him.” In just moments, celebration turns into rejection—and it forces a question we can’t avoid. Where do we stand? This episode unpacks the triumphal entry, the rapid fall of the crowd, and the haunting choice of Barabbas over Christ. It challenges us to examine how often we want Jesus on our terms—seeking comfort instead of conversion, victory without sacrifice, and blessings without the cross. Through the example of Saint Ludovico of Casoria, Andrew reminds us what real faith looks like—not just admiration, but action. Not just words, but surrender. You’ll also hear a personal reflection connected to Andrew’s newest book, God’s Path: The Boy from Siberia, and a reminder that even when God seems silent, He is still working—especially in the hardest and most confusing moments of our lives. This is more than a reflection. It’s a challenge. When your moment comes—and it will—will you follow the crowd, or will you stay with Christ? This show is written, edited, and produced independently. episode Called, Rejected, Still Chosen cover

Called, Rejected, Still Chosen

What do you do when every door keeps closing… and you don’t know why? In this episode of Catholic Talks with Andrew Beal, we dive into a reality most people avoid talking about — rejection. Not the kind you reflect on after success… but the kind you face in the middle of the journey. The silence after giving your best. The unanswered callbacks. The moments that make you question not just your work — but your worth. Drawing from personal experiences in acting and the quiet strength of St. Joseph, Andrew explores what it means to stay faithful when nothing seems to be working. Because the truth is: you can be prepared, talented, and doing everything right… and still hear “no.” So what does that mean? This episode is about more than rejection — it’s about identity. It’s about learning that your worth cannot come from outcomes, validation, or approval. It has to come from something deeper. Something unshakable. And ultimately, it’s about recognizing that God is not waiting to condemn you… He’s waiting to embrace you. Whether you’ve been facing rejection, struggling in your calling, or feeling distant from God, this episode is an invitation: Come back. Not when everything is fixed. Not when you feel ready. But now. 🔔 In this episode, you’ll hear: • Why rejection hits deeper than we expect • The danger of tying your identity to outcomes • What St. Joseph teaches us about quiet faithfulness • How God works even when doors keep closing • A powerful invitation to return to confession And remember — holiness isn’t about being perfect… it’s about saying “yes” to God, again and again. This show is written, edited, and produced independently.
