episode Change Your Schedule, Change Your Life Audiobook by Michelle Seaton, Dr. Suhas Kshirsagar artwork
Change Your Schedule, Change Your Life Audiobook by Michelle Seaton, Dr. Suhas Kshirsagar

Listen to this audiobook in full for free on http://hotaudiobook.com [http://hotaudiobook.com] Title: Change Your Schedule, Change Your Life Subtitle: How to Harness the Power of Clock Genes to Lose Weight, Optimize Your Workout, and Finally Get a ... Author: Michelle Seaton, Dr. Suhas Kshirsagar Narrator: Lesa Lockford Format: Unabridged Length: 8 hrs and 8 mins Language: English Release date: 01-30-18 Publisher: Dreamscape Media, LLC Genres: Self Development, Motivation & Inspiration Publisher's Summary: It's not you; it's your schedule. Does it sound like magic? It's not. We've all heard of circadian rhythms - those biological processes that give us jet lag and make us night owls or early birds. But few of us know just how profoundly these diurnal patterns affect our overall health. Bad habits - like skipping meals, squeezing in workouts, working late into the night and then trying to catch up on sleep during the weekend - disrupt our natural cycles. A growing body of research on chronobiology reveals just how sensitive the human body is to these rhythms all the way down to the genetic level. Our clock genes control more than we realize, and small changes can make the difference between battling our bodies and effortlessly managing weight, sleep, stress, inflammation, and more. Marrying ancient Ayurvedic wisdom with the latest scientific research, this holistic step-by-step 30-day plan provides the tools - and the schedule - you need to transform your life. Members Reviews: Easy read, great information This was an interesting read, with a lot of real life, useful tips. I have enjoyed may of Deepak Chopraâs books and since he wrote the forward, this book caught my attention. As a parent of three young kids and a background in the health and fitness industry, the book title really spoke out to me. The topic of chronobiology is fascinating and Dr. Kshirsaga shares some great insight. I like that he combines Ayurvedic wisdom and modern medicine in a straight forward relatable way. He shows how eating, sleeping, and weight loss are all related. He goes further to explain how important timing is for eating and what time of day is better to eat more food and when it is better for our bodies to have lighter meals. I was interested in his explanations of sleep cycles, when we should be sleeping and how important sleep isto have a good metabolism. I enjoyed reading how his clients adapted some of his suggestions and were able to see great results. Overall a great read, very interesting and easy to read. There is a lot of useful information I will keep revisiting. At minimum it explains why you can't lose weight even on a JUICE diet. I really think they have something here. Especially if you are someone who works late shift, or travels often, this book may help you keep in mind how circadian rhythm really operates. When I was desperate to lose some weight, having no luck after menopause, I heard that eating too late is a major problem. After I started scheduling my evening meals before 7, I dropped 10 pounds, and I still eat the same things, maybe more volume than before. If you generally feel lousy and gain weight easily, this book may help you out. This is not going to work for some, since you cannot simply quit your second shift job, or stop caring for the kids, etc. Or tell your boss "I cannot travel as often, they may find a new recruit who is all too happy to handle that. And can you. But it may help you set the goal of getting a different job, if your health depends on it? Needs more science and more alternatives--I couldn't live like this if I tried 3.5 stars... This book is interesting and gives you a lot to think about.

episode Grief Works Audiobook by Julia Samuel artwork
Grief Works Audiobook by Julia Samuel

Listen to this audiobook in full for free on http://hotaudiobook.com [http://hotaudiobook.com] Title: Grief Works Subtitle: Stories of Life, Death, and Surviving Author: Julia Samuel Narrator: Julia Samuel Format: Unabridged Length: 8 hrs and 41 mins Language: English Release date: 01-16-18 Publisher: Simon & Schuster Audio Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 3 votes Genres: Self Development, Motivation & Inspiration Publisher's Summary: An instant best seller in the UK, Grief Works is a profoundly optimistic and compassionate handbook for anyone suffering a loss - from the expected death of a parent to the sudden death of a child or spouse - as well as a guide for those who want to help their grieving loved ones. Death affects us all. Yet it is still the last taboo in our society, and grief is still profoundly misunderstood. So many of us feel awkward and uncertain around death and shy away from talking honestly with family and friends. Julia Samuel, a grief psychotherapist, has spent 25 years working with the bereaved and understanding the full repercussions of loss. In Grief Works Samuel shares case studies from those who have experienced great love and great loss - and survived. People need to understand that grief is a process that has to be worked through, and Samuel shows if we do the work, we can begin to heal. The stories here explain how grief unmasks our greatest fears, strips away our layers of protection, and reveals our innermost selves. Intimate, clear, warm, and helpful, Grief Works addresses the fear that surrounds death and grief and replaces it with confidence. Samuel is a caring and deeply experienced guide through the shadowy and mutable land of grief, and her book is as invaluable to those who are grieving as it is to those around them. She adroitly unpacks the psychological tangles of grief in a voice that is compassionate, grounded, real, and observant of those in mourning. Divided into case histories grouped by who has died - a partner, a parent, a sibling, and a child as well a section dealing with terminal illness and suicide - Grief Works shows us how to live and learn from great loss. Members Reviews: A great read for those seeking guidance, accessible information. Written for the lay person and probably aimed at those experiencing grief, GRIEF WORKS is an approachable and manageable book of grief tales with some theory woven discreetly through. I imagine that those who are in the early midst of their grief journey may not read this cover to cover but dip into it and read the elements that they want. The book is in sections looking at different types of grief experience, such as, those who have experienced the death of a partner, or a parent or a child. There is a good section on facing your own death. The style is generally appealing in my opinion and told from a first person point of view. There is an early introduction to how grief might look or be experienced and although this was a brief narrative, it was described well. This book uses stories of those grieving from the early acuteness to the later, equally acute but long-term experiences. The stories are in-depth and rather lengthy but there is no lack of detail. The highlight of this book was the concept of thinking of 'pillars of strength', I thought this was an interesting way of thinking of managing the pain and the journey. I am an academic in this field and this book is not written to inform me theoretically, however, I could see myself recommending this to those new to the subject, to people I research with and to friends and family. A copy of this book was provided by the publisher through netgalley in return for an honest review. Helpful grief therapy stories and practical steps to work through grief process Julia Samuel is a bereavement expert in the United Kingdom.

When to Jump Audiobook by Mike Lewis

Listen to this audiobook in full for free on http://hotaudiobook.com [http://hotaudiobook.com] Title: When to Jump Subtitle: If the Job You Have Isn't the Life You Want Author: Mike Lewis Narrator: full cast, Sheryl Sandberg, Mike Lewis Format: Unabridged Length: 10 hrs and 28 mins Language: English Release date: 01-09-18 Publisher: Macmillan Audio Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 30 votes Genres: Self Development, Motivation & Inspiration Publisher's Summary: This program is read by the author and an exciting cast of readers including Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg. Also included are the winning fan submissions from the Macmillan Audio When to Jump contest. An inspirational audiobook that lays out the "Jump Curve" - four steps to wholeheartedly pursuing the career of your dreams - through experiences from a variety of people who have jumped and never looked back When Mike Lewis was 24 and working in a prestigious corporate job, he eagerly wanted to leave and pursue his dream of becoming a professional squash player. But he had questions: When is the right time to move from work that is comfortable to a career you have only dared to dream of? How have other people made such a jump? What did they feel when making that jump - and afterward? Mike sought guidance from others who had "jumped", and the responses he got - from a banker who started a brewery, a publicist who became a bishop, a garbage collector who became a furniture designer, and on and on - were so clear-eyed and inspiring that Mike wanted to share what he had learned with others who might be helped by those stories. First, though, he started playing squash professionally. The right audiobook at the right time, When to Jump offers more than 40 heartening stories (from the founder of Bonobos, the author of The Big Short, the designer of the Lyft logo, the Humans of New York creator, and many more) and takeaways that will inspire, instruct, and reassure, including the ingenious four-phase Jump Curve. This program is read by Mike Lewis, Sheryl Sandberg, Jeff Arch, Betsy Lewis, Nate Chambers, Laura McKowen, Tommy Clark, Elle Luna, Lawrence Campbell, Fernando Rodriguez-Villa, Merle R. Saferstein, Kelly O'Hara, Amy VanHaren, Alex Stern, Zorina Exie J. Members Reviews: Do you hear a voice inside you? This book spoke to me like few others have before and this is mainly due to the amazing stories from real people on their JUMP experience. An unexpected bonus was to have the stories read from the actual people who JUMPED! I was able to relate to many different aspects of the stories including the 'voice', ideas and knowing there is something more than my current situation. You will hear from people in all walks of life who knew they had to not only listen to that voice inside but they had to do something about it. They had to make a JUMP! Interwoven with the stories is some solid advice that can be used to guide you in your JUMP. I've started my plan to JUMP because I know that I can no longer ignore or push down the voice inside me that is wanting out. If you hear that voice inside telling you to JUMP, you are not alone.

episode Judgment Detox Audiobook by Gabrielle Bernstein artwork
Judgment Detox Audiobook by Gabrielle Bernstein

Listen to this audiobook in full for free on http://hotaudiobook.com [http://hotaudiobook.com] Title: Judgment Detox Subtitle: Release the Beliefs That Hold You Back from Living a Better Life Author: Gabrielle Bernstein Narrator: Gabrielle Bernstein Format: Unabridged Length: 5 hrs and 10 mins Language: English Release date: 01-02-18 Publisher: Simon & Schuster Audio Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 187 votes Genres: Self Development, Motivation & Inspiration Publisher's Summary: From featured "next-generation thought leader" on Oprah Winfrey's Super Soul 100 and number one New York Times best-selling author Gabrielle Bernstein comes a clear, proactive, step-by-step program to rid yourself of the tendency to judge yourself and others and to find your way back to true healing and oneness. Judgment - both being judged and judging others - is the core of our discomfort. While it's powerful, judgment isn't complicated. It's simply the separation from oneness. The moment we see ourselves as separate, we detour into a false belief system that is out of alignment with our true nature. That separation, often a reflection of our own insecurities projected onto others, keeps us feeling alienated and alone. The Judgment Detox is an interactive process that calls on spiritual principles from the text A Course in Miracles, Kundalini yoga, meditation, EFT, and metaphysical teachings, allowing us to release the beliefs that hold us back from living a better life. Gabby has demystified these principles to make them easy to apply and commit to. The six steps include: This step-by-step process offers a path to true healing, oneness, and a deeper connection to the universe and those around us. Members Reviews: Gabby Bernstein's Breakthrough This book is a Triumph for Gabrielle Bernstein and, in turn, if you devote yourself to the practices she offers, it will be a Triumph for you. Her performance in the audio book is the most serene and loving performance I have heard from her yet. What a glorious resource for anyone who needs comforting, empowering, long-lasting relief in their life. You and the world, both, need and deserve more love. This book will open you up to access it consistently and with ease. Judgement Detox I probably will never meet Gabrielle in person but shes a spiritual angel from God. Shes all kinds of awakened levels of deep but in a duh I get it way. I would recommend this book to everyone we all need a judgement detox.
