Alex Cooney is a former NSW Police Highway Patrol officer who, prior to COVID, was regarded as a high-performing and principled member of the force. During the pandemic, he became a public whistleblower after raising concerns about unlawful directives and conduct within NSW Police. His stance brought widespread attention, global support, and ultimately led to his suspension, investigation, and resignation.After leaving the force, and once free to speak openly, he began sharing his experiences publicly—at rallies, protests, and through independent media. Alongside this, he built a sole-trader business to provide for his family while undergoing a profound personal reckoning with authority, truth, and responsibility. Today, Alex is deeply interested in how modern societies are structured to distract, dominate, and disconnect people from their innate capacity to think, choose, and create. He is currently exploring new projects—potentially a book or content series—focused on what he would tell his son, and younger generations, about building a meaningful life before it’s shaped for them. Having studied Thai traditional medicine extensively in Thailand, including certifications in Thai massage and Tok Sen, Hamid has trained over 300 Sound Practitioners through Phoenix's longest-standing certification program, offering profound transformation through gongs, crystal bowls, and ceremonial instruments. His approach challenges conventional paradigms while honoring traditional practices, whether facilitating retreats in Peru, conducting health coaching through mineral analysis, or guiding others toward wholeness through his practice in the Sonoran Desert. Through his writing and teaching, Hamid weaves together Eastern philosophy, Western science, and shamanic lineages to help others discover their unique paths back to vibrant health and expanded consciousness.
