Four diverse projects have been honored, revealing the profound impact and the wide-ranging nature of volunteer work. * The winner of the 56th Prix Schappo is, "Tram-dem," where over 30 volunteers accompany elderly individuals on public transport, offering safety and companionship, enhancing their independence and easing the lives of their relatives. * Then, Mein Ohr für Dich - einfach mal reden! "My ear for you – just talk!"—a free, anonymous phone service providing comfort and companionship to anyone feeling lonely is being awarded the 57th Prix Schappo. Fifty dedicated volunteers operate this service year-round, offering a listening ear and encouraging words. * Herzensbilder which loosely translates as "Heart pictures, capturs precious memories for families in challenging times with free professional photography. This initiative has won the 58th Prix Schappo and stands as a testament to the power of capturing love through images. * Lastly, "Sprachmobil.ch," a mobile learning service has won the 59th prix schappo. Sprache mobile, or language vehicle, aids refugees in learning German, fostering integration, and boosting confidence through language acquisition. Forty volunteers are central to this educational outreach.
