42 episoderI'm back after the longest break I've taken (I think) since I started and it is good to be back. In this episode, I am joined once again by my good pal, Erin, and we are chatting about the dreaded FEAR. We go deep into our past drunken activities that left us as balls of anxiety and depression and hear you're hilarious stories too. From spending the night in Santa Barbara County Jail to waking up in your ex boyfriends mother's house to going back to a fellas house and his dog biting your face, you can be guaranteed that whatever shite you were talking last weekend doesn't have a patch on the stories we discussed. And at the end of the day nobody really cares what you did only you - so there's no need for fear. This episode is sponsored by Everyday's Friday. An Irish owned clothing brand set up by a lovely young Irish family with the concept that every day should be looked at the same as a Friday. We should be looking forward to every day and not wishing our days away by only looking forward to the weekend. The aim at Everyday's Friday is to provide comfortable clothing to those everyday people who carry a zest for life and a seize the day mentality. Designed in Australia, their smart, colourful range is perfect for your next workout, sunrise, coffee run or catch up. Their ethos at Everyday’s Friday is clear, wake up every morning excited. You never know what the day will bring. Cathal and Sara have been working on their brand for the last 18 months and have focused on having the best quality product possible. They have kindly given me and my listeners a 10% DISCOUNT CODE for any purchase. Use the code: notasinglebother for 10% off. Support this small Irish owned business on their brand new venture. My gorgeous friend, Erin, is back for another episode with me where we dove deep into what she calls, the quarter life crisis. This whole worry that people in their late twenties - mid thirty year old's have about whether they should be settling down, buying a house and having kids OR doing none of those things and heading off travelling. We got such a massive response from you all over on my Instagram and it's clear to see that you are damned if you do or damned if you don't so just go ahead and do what makes you truly happy. There's not right thing for any one person and we both hope that this episode makes you feel better - whatever your situation is!! Enjoy the episode and you can now also watch my podcasts and vlogs over on my YouTube channel!! I’m very excited about this week's episode of the podcast because whatever your political views may be, you can’t deny that this man is a character. Independent TD, Michael Healy Rae, a man who I’ve realized lives off about 2 hours of sleep, took the time out of his hectic schedule to have a little chat with me. Outside of the obvious roles that being a TD entails, he talks about the sides we don’t see and the parts that have stuck with him for life like talking a man out of committing suicide over the phone. I went beyond the politics and the paddy caps and found out what really makes him tick and obviously had to touch on his recent “airy fairy” comments in the Dail! Let’s just say, he won’t be apologizing any time soon! On this weeks episode, I've been chatting with the inspirational, Martine Dines. Martine was just 29 years old when she was diagnosed with breast cancer and since then has decided to document her journey in order to help others. She has faced many ups and a lot of downs throughout all of this, including her battle to get her parents into Australia to be with her during the height of the pandemic. Martine and her fiancé Sean are such genuine, down to earth, kind people and it's been such an amazing journey. It's an eyeopener to us all and hopefully a ray of hope for those going their own cancer journey. Thanks so much to Martine for sharing her story with all of us! x As you may have seen on my socials, I decided to step outside my comfort zone a little bit recently and set up a Ko-fi account! A ko-fi account is basically where, if you like my podcast and my content, you can donate me the price of a coffee (COMPLETELY optional!)I feel so weird doing this for a load of different reasons but, at the same time, I put a lot of time and effort into what I do. I also said at the start of this year that I wanted to do this full time so I need to stop acting like things are just going to fall into my lap and make a few adjustments. As I said, it’s completely optional and it’s basically a case of if you like what I do and wouldn’t mind buying me a coffee then happy days and if you don’t then don’t and that’s absolutely fine too! If you would like to then the link to do so is here: https://ko-fi.com/aislinndowling Thank you SO much to everyone who has already bought me a coffee!!! It does not go unnoticed and I am so appreciative of your support!! This episode is proudly sponsored by FM fragrance parlour which is run by the lovely Mary Timoney. Mary is based here in Sydney where she sells designer inspired fragrances but also home and body fragrance, hair, skin, make up and even cleaning products. It’s your one stop shop - men women and unisex. Although Mary is based here in Sydney, she ships all over Australia as well as Ireland and the UK. I looooove her flower bomb inspired fragrance and the Si inspired fragrance. They are so affordable and I literally carry them with me wherever I go. You can check out all her amazing products on Instagram @fm.fragrance_parlour and just send her a DM. Mary is such a sweetheart and is always so appreciative of every bit of support so make sure to check out her business on Instagram. Also, If you have any questions or want to try a new scent Mary is always happy to send you a little tester with your purchase. Thanks so much to FM Fragrance Parlour for sponsoring this episode.
On this weeks episode I chatted with the gorgeous and extremely intelligent, Aisling Fox, or AOK Nutrition. As it turns out, we all really don't have a clue about hormones, how contraception really works, fertility and everything in between. Aisling debunks the myths we all relate to the pill and other contraceptives as well as providing us with the knowledge to help us with our hormonal issues, sex drive issues, fertility issues and whatever hormonal related questions you might have. I feel relieved and so much better informed about the things we should have learned in school anyway. Follow Aisling on Instagram @aoknutrition for constant information and lots of interesting facts! It was so nice to speak with Aisling and I hope you enjoy the episode! AND you can follow me @aislinndowling on Instagram, FB, Tik Tok etc.
