episode Real Housewives of Rhode Island S1 E4 | It’s All Relative cover

Real Housewives of Rhode Island S1 E4 | It’s All Relative

Introducing Cici, the spicy Rhode Island woman, formerly known as Alicia, who will fiercely defend Liz because they are childhood friends. Cici and Rosie are not good friends… maybe. Rosie is a flip-flopper. Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh discuss this hilarious episode of The Real Housewives of Rhode Island, where we get to meet Alicia and Liz’s moms and learn that they have been childhood friends, which means that Alicia and Liz grew up together. We also get to see the aunts and moms meet Ashley and encourage Rulla to “hurt her husband black in the way he hurt her.” Rulla is a good friend of the family because her family’s jewelry store has a history with other families in Rhode Island.  This episode also allows us to meet Jo-Ellen sister, who went to second base with Jo-Ellen’s husband when they were teenagers… a fact that no one should be worried about, yet everyone BUT Jo-Ellen is suspicious of. And to round out the closeness, we learn that Rulla’s husband used to be married to Cici’s Spanish teacher. A hilarious fact that does not tell us whether Rulla’s husband is old, or was in a courageous situation with the Spanish teacher, or whether the teacher was unexpectedly young. But it is really interesting to learn that Rulla’s husband has a history of cheating. Dom & Kyla both agree that if Rulla loves him and wants to stay, she needs to decide for herself and stop being upset with Jo-Ellen for sharing the information.  This episode is produced by Skip The Boring Stuff, a podcast strategy company for business owners and creatives: skiptheboringstuff.com [http://skiptheboringstuff.com/].

episode Real Housewives of Atlanta S15 E4 | Secret Meat Lovers cover

Real Housewives of Atlanta S15 E4 | Secret Meat Lovers

Lies, rumors, and carnivores disagree in Episode 4 of Season 17 of the Real Housewives of Atlanta. The episode includes Porsha discussing the sale of her home and telling her friend-friend that she does not want more children, while he confesses to wanting three kids. Porsha also admits that she likes Mike, and is spending time with anyone who admires her. Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh are obsessed with that line! The simple honesty of it and how it is important to spend your attention and time with those who want to be in your presence. Such wisdom from Porsha Williams.  We also see Shamea and her husband discussing surrogacy while Shamea packs for Cynthia’s trip to Dallas. Shamea is also a big part of the conversations at the Pinky Cole fundraiser, where we find out that she and Kelli have been telling people that Pinky Cole eats meat. While this is a silly line, Dom and Kyla admit the rumor could hurt Pinky’s brand, especially since she built Slutty Vegan on the virtues of veganism.  Ironically, we do not see Kelli at the fundraiser much because she was hiding from Porsha. But notably, Kelli and Pinky met at Slutty Vegan and Kelli was uncharacteristically silent when Pinky mentioned that Pjadrea said that she eats meat. The production team shows a flashback of Kelli sharing the rumor of Pinky eating meat… something that Dom and Kyla believe will irritate Pinky Cole when she finds out. Kelli and Pinky get to discuss both of their potential bankruptcies and how Derrick, Pinky’s husband, is a $110 million dollar man.  At the end of this episode, Dom Torres reads excerpts of a business article that explains Dave’s Cheesesteaks and the business that Derrick built based on Philadelphia’s favorite foods.  This episode is produced by Skip The Boring Stuff, a podcast strategy company for business owners and creatives: skiptheboringstuff.com [http://skiptheboringstuff.com/].

episode Real Housewives of Beverly Hills S15 Reunion, Part 1 | Rich Women with Nice Things cover

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills S15 Reunion, Part 1 | Rich Women with Nice Things

What happens when rich women with nice things get together and talk? Hilarity, chaos, bad acting (Amanda!), and self-advocacy. Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh are discussing Part One of Season 15 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and it is really good. Kyla believes it is better than all three parts of the Salt Lake City reunion (the only other Real Housewives reunion she has watched), and Dom agrees that this part of the reunion is making up for the season's dullness.  We find out that Amanda has been running around telling anyone who will listen that Boz is losing money in her business, when what Bozoma Saint John actually said was that she has lost money on her course. Amanda’s lack of empathy and tact in sharing this information is based on ignorance, bigotry, and disrespect because she is manipulating Boz’s words and taking a moment of vulnerability and weaponizing it. As Dom points out, Amanda appears to be singling out Boz, the only woman of color in the Real Housewives cast. Dom and Kyla agree that Amanda has probably said “I have Black friends” a time or two.  Erika gets a great package and the opportunity to discuss her domestic violence encounter and the difficulty and shame of mentioning her experiences on reality TV. We also get a lot of strong and comical moments from Erika when she digs at Dorit, explains her relationship with her estranged husband, Tom Girardi, and discusses the $25 million lawsuit she is entangled in. Dorit is very defensive in Part 1 of the reunion, which is not endearing, as we learn that her home is in pre-foreclosure and that her reliance on PK to handle most of the bills was detrimental to her. As Kyla points out repeatedly, most people are taught to trust and rely on others; it is not a negative thing to trust others or to build a life with someone else. Andy Cohen brings up Amanda’s comment that Dorit has “outsourced her financial well-being”, a comment which is incorrect, rude, and inappropriate, especially given that Amanda does not appear to have more peace, patience, or fun by earning three times what her fiancé makes. In fact, Dom and Kyla agree that Amanda’s insistence that she is the breadwinner is a sign of insecurity because she is probably taking on too much and needs to learn to ask for help, including, but not limited to, a financial partnership.  Kyle gets to discuss how she used the wrong word when describing Dorit’s behavior, but does not apologize for her intent that Dorit is acting out of character. Kyla would like Dorit to admit that she has outgrown her friendship with Kyle and Erika, that she wants it to evolve, and that she is in a selfish space right now. None of that is happening, and Dom & Kyla are looking forward to how the drama unfolds in the next two parts of the RHOBH Season 15 Reunion.  This episode is produced by Skip The Boring Stuff, a podcast strategy company for business owners and creatives: skiptheboringstuff.com [http://skiptheboringstuff.com/].

episode Real Housewives of Atlanta S17 E3 | Vulnerability and Miscommunications cover

Real Housewives of Atlanta S17 E3 | Vulnerability and Miscommunications

Episode 3 of Season 17 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta is all about vulnerability. The episode begins with K. Michelle, literally not looking like what she has gone through after the surgery to repair or treat her silicone injection mishap. Cynthia Bailey invites a few ladies to Dallas. Texas for a business trip, and Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh are enjoying all of the openness and sharing in this episode.  Shamea is launching a rum brand, but Dom and Kyla are more focused on her waiting to create something separate from her husband to enjoy independence. Also, Pinky Cole consults a bankruptcy lawyer to discuss whether to file for bankruptcy and how to bring up this financial issue with her husband. In a shockingly vulnerable moment, Dom & Kyla discuss how money and finances are not the easiest topics to discuss with your loved ones, even though money is literally everywhere and involved in every aspect of our lives.  Kyla gets to meet Ahmaury, Angela’s daughter, when they visit a property that Angela is flipping in Duluth, Georgia. Angela explains that she purchased multiple expensive properties in Atlanta in 2024 but was unable to sell them, so she is starting smaller with this property and is trying to get a sale to bring some closure to her life. In addition to failing at selling real estate, Angela lost he mother, and she is looking for closure with that relationship too. This inspires Dom & Kyla to discuss grief, how grief does not play fair and the small things (smelling a familiar fragrance, seeing a movie, etc.) can evoke positive emotions about a loved one.  We get to see Drew at home with her kids and also out on a date with her “friend” Blakk. In a prior episode, Blakk was on FaceTime with Drew for over an hour, so Dom & Kyla believe the two are more than just friends. Kyla notes that Drew keeps mentioning that she and Blakk are close but not on the same page about their relationship. WRONG! Yes, Drew loves Blakk, but she is not in love with him. When Blakk says he loves Drew, he is showing her and telling her that he wants her divorce to be finalized so that he can make an investment in her as a partner… and Drew is laughing it off. Well, soaking up the attention with no intentions of matching Blakk’s romantic interest.  This episode is produced by Skip The Boring Stuff, a podcast strategy company for business owners and creatives: skiptheboringstuff.com [http://skiptheboringstuff.com/].

episode Real Housewives of Rhode Island S1 E3 | Boyfriends and Baggage cover

Real Housewives of Rhode Island S1 E3 | Boyfriends and Baggage

Rhode Island continues to surprise us with the introduction of Kelsey’s boyfriend, Bill. Not only are Dom Torres and Kyla Denanyoh shocked to learn that Kelsey and Bill have known each other for years, but they are also surprised to hear that Kelsey is not interested in the lifestyle Bill can provide for her. Kelsey’s ambitions are higher… in a way.  Episode 3 of Season 1 of The Real Housewives of Rhode Island also allows the audience to find out that Alicia does not want to get married (too many strings attached), that Rosie does not want children (her mother was too complicated), and we get a rare, vulnerable moment from Rulla when she hosts a luncheon with her friends. Kyla was shocked to see Rulla with a group of women who were not the Real Housewives cast, but Dom believes the show would be too insincere to act as if the cast members only discuss important topics amongst themselves.  Later in the episode, the entire cast attends Liz’s Studio 54 party that she hosts to celebrate her husband, Garry. This party looks amazing, Liz’s house is gorgeous, and Jo-Ellen, Rulla, and their husband spent the majority of the event arguing about crossing the line and tattle-telling on each other to their bosses. Dom correctly points out that it would be extremely unattractive for your man to call his rival's employer and report your behavior… behavior that has absolutely nothing to do with work. The episode ends with Liz locked in her bedroom, yelling at Kelsey to leave her alone because Kelsey thinks Liz should not go to the seawall with Garry and Dino. For all of Liz’s frustration about the false rumors that Dino and Liz are more than friends, Liz appears to be shocked and hurt that Kelsey would partake in those silly rumors. Oh to be a fly on the wall at this party! En fantastisk app med et enormt stort udvalg af spændende podcasts. Podimo formår virkelig at lave godt indhold, der takler de lidt mere svære emner. At der så også er lydbøger oveni til en billig pris, gør at det er blevet min favorit app.
