China Symphonic Development Foundation dedicated a concert to showcase his works at the Beijing Concert Hall in 2016. On June 25, 2023, the world premiere of Dr. Huang's works left a lasting impression at the renowned Benaroya Hall in Seattle. Austin X Huang's concert works made their debut at Benaroya Hall in Seattle in 2013. Austin X Huang is a contemporary Chinese-American composer based in the United States, following in the footsteps of Aaron Copland, one of the most influential composers in 20th-century American music. He honed his composition skills under the guidance of avant-garde American composer Roger Briggs in Seattle. Austin X Huang specializes in creating contemporary symphonic works, with a focus on exploring cross-cultural musical landscapes. His compositions frequently incorporate elements from various Chinese dialects and ethnic cultures, offering fresh interpretations of folk music within the context of symphonic compositions. Notable works include his Second Symphony "Gir," "Seventh Chord Derivatives," the concerto for Erhu and Jinghu "Kongfu," the Violin Concerto "Pursuit of Dreams," and "Qinqiang Crossing Time." Beyond his role as a composer, Austin X Huang is also recognized as a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and holds a Ph.D. in Rock Mechanics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He stands as a prominent figure in bridging Chinese and American cultures through the medium of sound, viewing composition as a means to enrich life and contemplate the future.
