Talking About...TV On The Radio

Since forming in 2001, TV On The Radio have been pushing the boundaries of music.  Original members Dave Sitek and Tunde Adebimpe were inspired by Radiohead and released their first demo album, Ok Calculator, in 2002. Two years later and with the addition of Kyp Malone, TVOTR released the critically acclaimed Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes, an album so full of creativity, experiment and raw emotion that it was hard not to ignore. The band have released 5 studio albums to date and in this episode we’re taking a look at all of them and the new york scene of the noughties. They mixed punk and psychobilly with a heavy dose of Buddhism and LSD to create one of the most exciting sounds of the 00s! Bjork is unlike any other musician, unconventional, independent and constantly pushing the boundaries of music! We’re exploring her first four solo albums, from Debut to Vespertine, but also looking at everything before, including her first record, punk and The Sugarcubes amongst other things.
