Victims of the grooming gangs are being let down – again. The UK’s Labour government is stalling a public inquiry into the industrial-scale abuse of Britain’s working class girls by mainly Pakistani Muslim men. Speaking to spiked’s Georgina Mumford, former police constable Maggie Oliver – who blew the whistle on the Rochdale child-abuse ring – reveals how these crimes were covered up by the authorities, and how the victims were neglected, blamed and even criminalised.
