This is the unforgettable case of the “Polaroid Ghost.” We follow two artists living in a quiet Los Angeles neighborhood who suddenly find themselves documenting a presence that doesn’t just show up on camera, but answers questions, spells out its name, and hints at secrets hidden on the property. We get into the psychics, the skeptics, and the infamous Halloween parties where guests brought their own cameras and left shaken after capturing unexplainable images. With experts and even Polaroid unable to debunk it, and thousands of photos collected over decades, this case leaves us questioning what’s really developing in the dark. Episode 365 - Frightmare Manor | Appalachia’s Haunted Murder House

**Content Warning: This episode contains discussions of homicides, suicide and torture** This week we’re back in spooky Appalachia to explore a haunted attraction that might be a little too real. Sitting on 20 acres of a former Tennessee plantation is Frightmare Manor. The haunt’s story centers on Jeremiah Lexer, the former plantation owner who was secretly a serial killer, the shocking 1902 axe murders that exposed his crimes, and a pit of bodies believed to hold dozens of missing locals. It’s a dark legend that raises a bit of an eyebrow when you realize it’s now being used as entertainment. Today the property is one of the country’s most popular haunted attractions, with a challenge so intense that almost no one completes it. Yet staff and visitors report shadow figures, strange noises, moving objects, and a man carrying an axe in the manor windows. So we have to wonder… are the scares just part of the show, or is something else haunting Frightmare Manor?
