Father Koys takes us on another “brain wrinkling” walk as his mind turns to the upcoming beautification of Fulton Sheen scheduled for September 24, 2026.  Father Koys takes us on a deep dive into historical details around Fulton Sheen. As Father Koys dives into and shares details and short stories about his life and works, he shares his personal connection to him as well. He highlights and reads the story of the miracle that was recognized by Pope Frances for Fulton Sheen’s beautification on July 6, 2019.  The beautification was originally scheduled for later that year on December 21, 2019 later postponed pending further review.  Father Koys shares this unfortunate event, sharing the details revolving around that situation which delayed the beautification until this year.    St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish [https://ststanschurch.org/]

Father Anthony with Tony and Cristina gather to discuss the goings on, and people in the Parish. Father opens with discussion about issues or topics that impact our society causing chaos yet we are not addressing or rather not properly addressing it and as such it is not being fixed and the reorder is not possible so we remain in chaos. After a break Father, leads us in prayer then moves on to talk about The Trinity. He references and reads form an article, “This Sunday, The Trinity Means We are not the Children of Divorce, by Tom Hoops.  Father elaborates on the significance of the trinity and discusses the article and its reference to divorce, highlighting that God must be the center of all relationships.  Father reminds us that our faith is a commitment and we bear responsibility to carry our crosses and hold firm to the Truth, and we should not allow our religion to be watered down.   St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish [https://ststanschurch.org/]

Episode #4884 Speaking your Faith in Public

It’s Monday and Lauretta has as her guest today Kelsey Reinhardt , CEO of Catholic Vote.  Lauretta greets everyone and gives a shout out to the prayer warriors reminding us all that ongoing prayer is necessary and mentions some of the ongoing situations we should maintain in prayer. Lauretta then welcomes Kelsey Reinhardt and asks her to tell us about Catholic Vote.  Kelsey explains that Catholic Vote is an organization committed to inspiring Catholics to live their faith in the pubic square, that we be bold in speaking out for what our faith teaches us.  Kelsey tells us a little about her background and how she came to be with Catholic Vote sharing details of events in her life along the way.  Lauretta chats about an article she read that was written by Kelsey and motivated her to reach out to ask her to come on the show, that article was “Cut Flowers: The Democratic Socialist Rising Class.  They go on to discuss the article and point out ongoing situations in society and how they are impacted.  Together they encourage listeners to get educated and informed on what is happening in our society and to be bold in speaking your position as it relates to your faith.  Kelsey points out that in doing so, we can have a ripple effect throughout the world.  Lauretta closes with a reminder that Encounter Ministry is hosting a summer intensive starting this evening through August 6th for more information visit their website. Father Anthony with Cristina and Tony joined today by Alice Babij (Bobby) gather to discuss the goings on, and people in the Parish.  Father Anthony greets everyone and chats about experiences on his recent time away from the parish.  After prayer, Father welcomes back Alice to continue her discussion over the book “Clothed in Grace, A Devotional Guide to the Five-Fold Scapular, by Rev Scott Haynes.  The book is a devotional guide for the use of the five-fold scapular. The book offers the history along with the meaning of each of the scapular folds.  It also shares the saints who wore them, miracles tied to them and the spiritual promises that draw millions to it.  Today Alice focuses on sharing the many miracles credited to the various scapular folds.  The book is available at priestlypress.com.
