Episode #4847 The Trinity

Father Anthony with Tony and Cristina gather to discuss the goings on, and people in the Parish. Father opens with discussion about issues or topics that impact our society causing chaos yet we are not addressing or rather not properly addressing it and as such it is not being fixed and the reorder is not possible so we remain in chaos. After a break Father, leads us in prayer then moves on to talk about The Trinity. He references and reads form an article, “This Sunday, The Trinity Means We are not the Children of Divorce, by Tom Hoops.  Father elaborates on the significance of the trinity and discusses the article and its reference to divorce, highlighting that God must be the center of all relationships.  Father reminds us that our faith is a commitment and we bear responsibility to carry our crosses and hold firm to the Truth, and we should not allow our religion to be watered down.   St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish [https://ststanschurch.org/]

Episode #4846  Topsy Turbulent World Continued…

Father Koys takes us on another “brain wrinkling” walk as he tackles the topsy turvy turbulent world as he continues to consider the historical times of the past as he relates it to the times of today to reflect that much has not changed.  Last week he spoke of the time of the two popes: Pope Gregory the Tenth and Pope Martin the Fourth.  This week he continues that exploration as he highlights the historical impact of each of these Popes and how they impacted the Church: one unifying it and the other dividing it in greater detail, touching on the crusades and the filioque controversy.   St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish [https://ststanschurch.org/]

Episode #4845 The Story Continues…

Father Anthony with Cristina and Tony regroup today after the weekend.  Father Anthony offers daily prayer with the Litany to the Sacred Heart.  Father refers to the period of the Era of Martyrs more specifically to the end of the period of martyrdom which failed to end Christianity.  He refers to and reads from writings of Pope Damasus I on the martyrdom of Saint Peter.  He talks about references Pope Benedict XVI made to the Great Apostasy and talks about how we are continuing the writing of the story of our church today; the story staying the same but the times change.  He reminds us the need to recognize the need to stay true to the church and focus on serving God in humility calling for metanoia. Father discusses how the moving away from God to focus on the SELF has caused this disorientation both from outside and inside of the church. Episode #4844 The Power of Grace

Father Anthony with Tony and Cristina gather to discuss the goings on, and people in the Parish. Father greets everyone and mentions end of year activities for the school acknowledging it’s a very sad time facing the permanent closure of St. Stanislaus Kostka Academy.  After a break, Alice Babij (Bobby) introduces the book “God’s Grace on Death Row, The Conversion of Claude Newman and the Miraculous Medal, by Rev Scott Haynes.  The book focuses on the conversion of Claude Newman as he sat on death row.  The book reflects on the power of grace and the urgency of conversion as it is possible anywhere. Episode #4843 Pentecost

Father Anthony with Tony and Cristina gather to discuss the goings on, and people in the Parish. Father greets everyone and chats about the end of year activities for the school acknowledging it’s a bittersweet moment given that the school will permanently close at the end of this academic school year.  Father leads us in prayer after a short break and then moves on to talk about Pentecost. He references and reads form an article on the topic emphasizing that the Pentecost is the descent of the divine love into obedient hearts allowing the spirit within to take possession of our lives.
