~Oct. 2019 On a flight Hawaii > NY, Ethan had a stroke, diagnosed with a plum sized Stage 4 Glioblastoma Brain Tumor, immediate surgery, radiation, chemo ~He recently had an apartment fire, losing all of his possessions ~Currently in the hospital in Charlotte, NC with a major head infection, requiring more surgery ~There are many more details, that simply sums it up the best I can. ~We discuss what might be the meaning of illness, how he stays present, the guilt and shame that can arise with these challenges, how he feels about death and healing, intuition, how we might support him, etc. Lots of love and continuing to feel inspired and in awe of his journey.
Why Use Death as a Teacher to Thrive in Life? Based on the book Alive for Now, we explore topics regarding our inevitable mortality and the often unexpected ways it may lead to thriving while we're here.
In this episode, I share an exercise from my book to explore regret and refer to Bronnie Ware's "The Top Five Regrets of the Dying" ...How would your life be different if you lived with mindfulness of your own inevitable death? Instead of that being a morbid question, the answer to it may be the most powerful means to get your actions in line with your truest priorities. Alive for Now is beyond a book, it is a guided journey in using action-based practices for thriving in life that are otherwise quite easily diverted for a lifetime. An unexpected and refreshing method for living a life of authenticity, contentment, presence, courage, and resilience.
