Odin Müehlenbein works as a Partner for Ashoka Germany + Globalizers. For those of you who have not heard about Ashoka before - They are a global organization that identifies and supports the world's leading social entrepreneurs, they try to learn from the patterns in their innovations, and mobilizes a global community that embraces these new frameworks to build an "everyone a changemaker world." Odin has an academical background in philosophy and he have co-founded a couple of social ventures himself before joining Ashoka. He have worked with Ashoka for 4 years now. According to Odin, his work for Ashoka can be divided into three parts. 1) He helps with strategy works for the social entrepreneurs in the network. 2) He spreads some of the learning that he and the social entrepreneurs gain from this strategic work in forms of articles, for example. 3) Odin tries to be an ambassador for system change in general. It was such a pleasure to sit down with Odin and hear more about his work and his passion for System Change. You are going to love this episode!

Margret Rasfeld is a former headmaster of a school but is now retired, but that doesn’t stop her from helping organizations and people around the world to pursue change in the educational system world wide. Margret invited me to her home for a conversation with her and a former student of hers - Jamila Tressel that have joined her on many of her speaking gigs around the world to help Margret communicate the impact that her type of schools are giving the students. Margret became a teacher in 1977 but in 1996 she decided to become a headmaster of a new school because she felt that as a headmaster, she could make so much more impact. According to the UNESCO-report called “Schools for 21st century”, it seems that 50% of the students in the schools today are not getting the tools to unlock their full potential - a change is needed! Margret have written books on how she - as a headmaster - have builded a school that unlocks the potential for the students and that book have been translated in several languages. It was such a fun and interesting conversation that we had and I think you will enjoy it!

Thorsten Kiefer is the Co-Founder and CEO of WASH United. WASH is an acronym for WAter, Sanitation and Hygiene and they are developing cutting edge solutions within those areas. Thorsten is a social entrepreneur that began by studying at law school, but during his studies he felt a lack of passion to the studies. He was so much more drawn to Human Rights and Environmental Issues instead. To challenge himself, he decided to move to Venezuela to study abroad, one of the very few law students who have done that. That trip changed him, and finally, he started to find more meaning to his studies. When he got back to Germany he decided to study a master in Amsterdam that was called Human Rights and International Law - and that became the start of the career path he have chosen. Just a few notes about Thorsten is that he is, or at least was, a big football fan and he lives in the area of Kreutzberg together with his wife, his two kids and two cats. I hope you enjoy this episode!
