Earth 1.0 | Part 1 | Creation: More Than A Beginning | Chris Voigt

Once upon a time… A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away… It was the best of times, it was the worst of times… One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish… Iconic opening lines. They draw us in, capturing imaginations – young and old – with the promise of a story worth the telling. This week, we begin a new series about a story that begins with the greatest opening line of all:   In the beginning, God created… You’ve heard it a thousand times. You know how it goes, or… do you? Come join us this Sunday at 11 AM and find out. You can connect with us online by clicking the "Join Us Sunday" button on our website or via our YouTube channel. Or come worship with us in person! Arrive early and enjoy coffee, cookies and conversation in the Lobby. We do know that 11 AM on Sunday doesn't work for everyone. If that's you, the service will be available on demand, so you can watch at a time that works better for your schedule. We look forward to worshipping with you this Sunday! ----------------------------------- TAKE YOUR NEXT STEP ----------------------------------- Let us know that you were watching with us and you will be entered to receive a free prize by completing our Connection Card: http://dsf.church/ecard   Give Online: https://www.simplechurchgiving.net/App/Giving/dsf Message Notes: https://www.dayspringfellowship.com/messages   Like, comment & subscribe to stay updated!   Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dayspringkeizer [https://www.instagram.com/dayspringkeizer] Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DayspringKeizer [https://www.facebook.com/DayspringKeizer] YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/dayspringfellowship [https://www.youtube.com/dayspringfellowship] Website: http://dsf.church [http://dsf.church]   #dayspringkeizer #dayspringfellowship #2026sermon

Gravity: Breaking Free From the Weight of Sin | Part 8 | The Stronger Attraction | Chris Voigt

For the past 8 weeks, we've been working through our series, Gravity: Breaking Free From the Weight of Sin, which has helped us reframe and perhaps even expand the way we think about sin. We've come to understand that sin is more than bad behavior, stinky attitudes, or hurtful words -- it's about how our heart is positioned -- whether we're moving toward Jesus or allowing something else to pull us away. As we wrap up this week, there's one final question for us to wrestle with... the 'bottom line' so to speak. Your answer to that question makes all the difference in which direction your heart... and your life will be pulled. Tag... you're it! Gravity: Breaking Free From the Weight of Sin | Part 7 | Doing Nothing | Chris Voigt

Hide and seek… tag… or better yet, freeze tag! These are simple children’s games where one player chases or pursues all the others. But how do you decide who is going to be the chaser or pursuer… the IT? “Not it!” “Not it!” “Not it!” voices shout; everyone trying desperately to not be IT. Because sometimes chasing or pursuing can be disappointing, frustrating and exhausting. Most of us are long past the days of playing tag, but the ‘not it’ mindset may have stuck with us in ways we don’t really see. We're in week 7 of our sermon series, Gravity: Breaking Free From the Weight of Sin. This week, we're looking at... doing nothing.  Most of us think of sin as something we do. So how can doing nothing be a sin? I'm glad you asked!  Come join us this Sunday at 11 AM and find out. You can connect with us online by clicking the "Join Us Sunday" button on our website or via our YouTube channel. Or come worship with us in person! Arrive early and enjoy coffee, cookies and conversation in the Lobby. Gravity: Breaking Free From the Weight of Sin | Part 6 | Situational Sins | Chris Voigt

Have you ever noticed how some people have a different voice or way of speaking when they're talking to a baby or perhaps a pet? That's an example of  situational behavior - changing something, in this case the manner of speaking - based on the situation. But situational behavior isn't always innocent or harmless. We're in week 6 of a sermon series we've titled, Gravity: Breaking Free From the Weight of Sin. This week, we're looking at what we're calling situational sins... those choices we make based on external circumstances - which set of friends we're with, whether or not the kids are around, or if anybody will even know we did it. The problem is, basing our behavioral choices on an external standard completely misses the point. Because that's not at all what Jesus is after.  Join us this Sunday at 11 AM as we begin our series on sin. You'll find us online by clicking the "Join Us Sunday" button on our website, or connect with us via our YouTube channel. Or come worship with us in person! Arrive early and enjoy coffee, cookies and conversation in the Lobby. Gravity: Breaking Free From the Weight of Sin | Part 5 | Acceptable Sins | Chris Voigt

For the past few weeks, we've been working our way through a series we’ve titled, Gravity: Breaking Free From the Weight of Sin. We've covered a lot of ground... the way sin pulls at our hearts and minds, the difference between toxic and healthy shame, the things we trust more than God,  and the disordered desires that derail our lives.  This week, we're looking at what we're calling acceptable sins... those things that have so subtly slipped into our vocabularies and mindsets, that are so much a part of how we live, that we don't even really notice them anymore. But noticing and naming matters. Because if our goal is to become like Jesus, then we must first see where we're not, and then take the next step to being more like Him. We do know that 11 AM on Sunday doesn't work for everyone. If that's you, the service will be available on-demand, so you can watch at a time that works better for your schedule.
