The Sustainable Foundations Podcast is for Christian women who want to build businesses that faithfully sustain growth. Hosted by Ashleigh Foy, systems and operations strategist and founder of Sustainable Foundations, this podcast explores the conversations that shape healthy businesses—from operations and client experience to leadership, technology, and faithful stewardship. Each week, Ashleigh combines practical business insight with biblical wisdom to help you think differently about growth. Together, you'll look beyond quick fixes and productivity hacks to uncover what it really takes to build a business that becomes stronger as it grows—not more fragile. Whether your business feels harder than it should, you've outgrown the way you're currently operating, or you're asking bigger questions about the kind of business you're building, you'll find thoughtful conversations, practical guidance, and a fresh perspective to help you move forward with clarity and confidence. Inside the podcast, you'll explore topics like: - Sustainable business growth rooted in biblical stewardship - Systems, operations, and business infrastructure - Client experience and operational excellence - Leadership and CEO decision-making - Capacity, time stewardship, and healthy rhythms - Technology and AI that support thoughtful growth - Building businesses that serve your life—not consume it If you've ever found yourself asking: - Why does my business feel harder than it should? - What got me here won't get me where God is calling me next? - How do I build a business that can support healthy, sustainable growth? - What kind of leader does my next season require me to become? - How do I build a business that honors both my calling and my capacity? You're in the right place. This isn't just a podcast about systems or strategy. It's a growing body of work for Christian women who want to build businesses with wisdom, intention, and foundations that will serve them for years to come. Tune in each week as we continue the conversation about what it really means to build a business that faithfully sustains growth.

58 | Why I’ve Been Quiet: The Story I Wasn’t Ready to Tell Yet

I’ve been quiet lately. Not because I ran out of things to say. Not because I stepped away from the podcast. And not because I had some perfectly planned break. The truth is, life changed very quickly. After more than 48 hours of bombs, missile alarms, and uncertainty, my boys and I left Bahrain in the middle of the night as part of an evacuation convoy. We crossed the causeway into Saudi Arabia in armored vehicles, drove for hours through the dark, and eventually made our way onto a plane home. Along the way, there were moments I still don’t fully know how to explain. This episode is not a business lesson. There are no three takeaways, no neat bow, and no call to action waiting for you at the end. I simply wanted to share where I’ve been, what happened, and why I’ve been quiet. Because this story is not over yet. We still don’t know exactly what happens next. But looking back over every mile of that journey, one thing is clear: God had us - He always has and will always.

57 | How to Stop Feeling Overwhelmed Without Dropping Anything (Part 4)

Have you ever felt like no matter how much you do… you're still behind? Like the to-do list never ends… And even when you check things off, the pressure doesn't go away? In this final episode of a powerful 4-part series, we're uncovering something deeper than time management, productivity, or planning… 👉 What's actually driving your day Because the truth is… Most Christian moms and business owners aren't struggling because they have too much to do. They're struggling because they're being led by a constant internal pressure they never consciously chose. And that pressure? It sounds responsible. It sounds productive. It sounds like what a "good" woman does. But it's not producing peace. In this episode, we walk through: ✨ Why feeling behind has nothing to do with your schedule ✨ The difference between living by the world's standards vs God's way ✨ A powerful look at as a real-life example of living in the world without being shaped by it ✨ The hidden "voice" that may be driving your day (and why it never lets you feel done) ✨ A relatable before-and-after picture of two women living the same life—but with completely different internal experiences ✨ How to recognize that voice in real time and take back authority over what leads you The Truth You'll Walk Away With You're not behind. You're not failing. You've just been measuring your life by a standard that was never meant to measure you. And once you see that… you can begin to live differently. The difference isn't in what you're doing… It's in what's leading you while you do it.

54 | Always Feeling Behind as a Mom in Business? Here's Why (Part 1)

Feeling behind as a Christian mom is something many faith-led business owners quietly carry every single day. You're moving all day long — helping, working, responding, trying — and yet the to-do list never feels smaller. In fact, it often feels like it's growing. In this episode of Sustainable Foundations Podcast, Ashleigh walks through why this constant feeling of being behind has less to do with time management and more to do with invisible expectations you've been trying to live up to without realizing it. You'll discover: * Why planners, routines, and productivity tips haven't solved this feeling * How "behind" is often tied to standards you never consciously chose * The subtle pressure Christian moms in business carry every day * A simple exercise to make those invisible expectations visible * How this connects to the story of Mary and Martha in Gospel of Luke 10:38–42 By the end of this episode, you won't just feel understood — you'll have a piece of paper in front of you that reveals the real source of the pressure you've been carrying. This is the first conversation in a series that will help you see why this feeling has followed you through every season of motherhood and business — and what to do next. 🎧 Press play and grab a piece of paper.
