Man was this podcast fun to record.  I felt like I used to before comedy when podcasting was everything.  I was in a great mood and just sat down by myself and got Silly for an hour. Life has been up and down but there's been so many amazing things going on it was nice to be grateful and appreciate the magic of the recent shows. Throwing together a midnight show for two of the best comedians in the game (Jessimae Peluso and Mike Lynch) on less than 10hrs notice was one of my favourite nights I've had in comedy. Definitely worth the sleep deprivation. It taught me so many lessons and showed how the lessons of running shows i've learned over the years can come together to make something magic out of nothing. Take a listen and hear about how it all came together! Next weekend is going to be huge for @themoonyeg we have a GINORMOUS Asylum on June 26th. VDC #254 The Return of Sterling Scott

Thanks to the wonderful editing skills of Trish Hall and @themoonyeg we finally have video to post! (See Youtube @thevondubcast) Sterling Scott is one of the most accomplished comedians in Canada and has appeared across North America including winning the golden buzzer on Canada's Got Talent.  He was also integral in bringing comedy to The Moon with Sterling's House Party which now goes by the name of the Sunday SmokeShow which will be celebrating its 300th consecutive show June 28th. Sterling came by top give an update on all the amazing things he has on the go as well as drop a ton of knowledge about comedy and the industry, so this episode is a must listen for any aspiring comedians or comedy nerds! VDC #253 Moon Therapy w/ Trish Hall

This very well could be a top 5 favourite conversation I have ever had.  We came in to restock and clean The Moon for the Sunday Smoke Show and Trish could tell I wasn't in a good head space.  She immediately sat me down got me high and proceeded to give me the most soul shaking mindset shifting pep talk of my life. She told me exactly what I needed to hear both positive and negative. The combination of being validated for the things I was feeling without letting me off the hook for the ways that I have not been showing up like I need to sunk right to the core and I felt myself change mid conversation.  Part way through this Trish told me to break out my old podcast gear (new setup has been nothing but tech issues) and just record an episode.  In this podcast you will hear a raw version of how me and trish talk all the time and I hope it connects with you even partially as much as it impacted me.  I'm so thankful for the amazing people in my life and so excited for everything to come. Also I just blindly hit record midway through the conversation and we didn't actually talk into the mics for the first 9 minutes so the audio quality will markedly increase 9 minutes into the convo lol. VDC #252 Mike Dambra 3.0

Mike Dambra is one of my favourite people in comedy.  From the moment I met him he has always been there for me for anything I might need.  He has given me countless hours of advice, knowledge and guidance and has gone out of his way to help a young comic just trying to figure it out on his own when absolutely did not need to. As I got to know him more I realized that he has done this for an untold amount of comics in the past and so many comics owe a huge piece of their success to Mike's tutelage.  So I was a bit dismayed to watch my friend be hit with something you hope your friends will never experience.  Mike is an extremely proud man who would never ask for help but during the podcast I could hear in his voice that he was getting overwhelmed with all that life was throwing at him.  Mike has always done so much for comics and it is time to give back.  So we decided to do a fundraiser show May 10th at 7pm and the support we have already received is staggering. I always knew there was an army of people who love mike but to see it out in force has been touching to say the least. Oilers Uncensored #48 Quick Game 1 Recap!

The rest of the boys were busy so I decided to sit down solo and breakdown the magic that was game 1. I was live in the building and seeing the boys fly around in that first period made me feel things I can't even put to words.  But here's to trying! The Oilers are the greatest team to ever exist.
