Holidays, The Final Episode?

Hey everyone! Little awkward, but we ever posted this last episode! You may have wondered where we went. It'll all be explained in the episode. We didn't quite want to call this the last episode ever. So let's just think of it as Will and Ben going on an indefinite holiday. Ep.36 - Why We Retreat

This week we're keeping it light with a conversation about a word that sends some mixed messages: retreat. In the secular world, retreat isn't a good thing! It's an admission of defeat. But as Christians we participate in these weekend long (or longer) events called retreats. As you'll hear, we Christians take a different stance on retreats! Ep. 35 - Grace for the In Between

This was a bit of a unique topic for us in that, this is not something we've heard talked about a lot and were simply giving Will and Ben's opinions or take on it. This week we covered an idea that God laid heavily on my (Ben's) heart. The idea is grace for the people who are in between "just saved" and sanctified. We tend to be very easy on those who have just been saved, and idolize those who have seemingly been totally transformed by the Spirit. But for many of us, we find ourselves in this middle state where we do things that we are no longer new to the faith, but we still have lots of room to grow, and it can be a merciless place! Join us this week as we talk about how we can do better having grace for those in the process of sanctification, and how we can have mercy on ourselves as we walk ever closer towards godliness. Ep.34 The Non-Essentials

There are many, many beliefs in the Christian faith. For many of these things, we need to take a step back and take a deep breath and realize these things are not the end all be all. In this episode, Will and Ben traverse some of the issues that are worth talking about but are not essential. These things don't disqualify you from being a Christian nor do they make someone else less of a Christian. Jump into the conversation and may the conversation drive you to be more engaged with scripture as you struggle through your own theology!

Ep.33 - Back to the Basics

There are many, many beliefs in the Christian faith.  Unfortunately, there are many things that we do not agree on as Christians across denominations.  When you hear about all the disagreements, it can get a little overwhelming!  After all, don't we all serve the same God?  Read the same Bible?  Why is there so much division and disagreement?  It's because, for many people, we have lost sight of what's essential.   This week we are going to dig into the essentials of Christianity, the things that we can agree on across denominational, cultural, and every other type of line.  Our hope is that, if we can establish what really matters and focus on what we can agree on, maybe one day we can see a truly united Church!
