Ready or not? Here she comes. Advocacy journalist with 10+ years in mental health and systemic reform effort. I conduct research on the cycle of violence, health politics, and rebuilding community post-trauma (chased with a healthy dose of dark humor and cursing our systems). Unable to stop the crimes against my own body; this queer, bookish liberal who loves musicals and opposes guns joined law enforcement to make positive changes to the system and prevent others from being harmed. Guess how that went? In 2020, I fled both my toxic career and abusive relationship. I couldn't begin to feel safe until I'd made it across the country. After much therapy, medication, and screaming from mountaintops; I speak out about silencing victims endure in our society from all sides, and fighting back while rebuilding our own health and safety.
