jakson Otter: Hello, Sea Friends! Audiobook by Sam Garton kansikuva

Otter: Hello, Sea Friends! Audiobook by Sam Garton

Listen to this audiobook in full for free on http://hotaudiobook.com [http://hotaudiobook.com] Title: Otter: Hello, Sea Friends! Author: Sam Garton Narrator: Courtney Shaw Format: Unabridged Length: 4 mins Language: English Release date: 10-04-16 Publisher: HarperAudio Genres: Kids, Ages 5-7 Publisher's Summary: Otter - the irrepressible character sure to be adored by fans of Llama Llama - takes a trip to visit sea friends and meet all the animals that live in the ocean. Otter: Hello, Sea Friends! is perfect for shared listening with a child. Hear about more of Otter's adventures in I Am Otter, Otter in Space, Otter Loves Halloween!, Otter: Oh No, Bath Time!, Otter: The Best Job Ever!, and Otter Goes to School. Members Reviews: Five Stars very cute and hold child's interest Five Stars Love these books and so do the kids in my class! Another Fine Otter mini-Adventure The original Otter books were large format hardbacks, and were a little on the pricey side. We loved them and collected them all, both because of the charm, good humor, and comfy appeal of Otter, and the fact that youngest grandchild Arthur's nickname among his brothers was "Otter". It was a treat when these "I Can Read" books came out because they were easy for little hands to hold, were inexpensive, and made for nice quickie mini-reads. This is a solid addition to the "I Can Read" series. For a short book we get a pretty thorough tour of an aquarium, and we see a lot of classic sealife attractions. As always, Otter is in top form, and of course has to keep a close eye on naughty Teddy. I'd still get the first "I Am Otter" volume for a kid who's into the character, because it is a great introduction to Otter, but these "I Can Read" books make very rewarding Otter "expansion packs". Just a fine, calm and cheerfully accessible series. Otter Is the Best River Friend! Well, it's getting so my husband just adds the latest Otter book to his Amazon order, since he knows that will make me happy. And he's right: this book is just as charming and as adorable as the previous books. Having been to several aquariums myself (and had many a small child trailing in my wake), Otter has mirrored exactly my experiences. Although it was a camera lens cap I dropped in the turtle enclosure, not Teddy in the penguin enclosure, mercifully, since I could get my (endlessly embarrassed) husband (we all know him) to retrieve it without the help of aquarium staff. (Otter is able to recover just fine, hooray!) As always, the illustrations are delightful, and since I've spent a bit of time looking at author Sam Garton's work, I can say that the fish are reminiscent of some of his early work. I do hope I'll be able to keep this original copy, since it's all nice and lovely, instead of having to hand it off to the next child I see because I have to pretend I'm all nice and benevolent when really I'm selfish and want to keep it all to myself. Great! This book is adorable. You can't help but love Otter. Otter takes a trip to the Aquarium where he gets to check out all the creatures and has a great time. The pictures in this book are so cute and very detailed. This book was for my 6 year old and he adores it and it's a good reading level for his age. A+

jakson Green Leaf Audiobook by Lisa J. Lickel kansikuva

Green Leaf Audiobook by Lisa J. Lickel

Listen to this audiobook in full for free on http://hotaudiobook.com [http://hotaudiobook.com] Title: Green Leaf Subtitle: The Potawatomi Boy Author: Lisa J. Lickel Narrator: Amanda Parrotte Format: Unabridged Length: 17 mins Language: English Release date: 08-29-16 Publisher: Fox Ridge Publications Genres: Kids, Ages 5-7 Publisher's Summary: Green Leaf's cousins are all older than he and they don't like to play fair. He longs for a friend his own age he can play with, explore and fish with. When he meets a Luxembourger boy, Henri, Green Leaf is sure they could become friends, but Henri's words are strange to Green Leaf. How can they play and explore together? Green Leaf's mother says, "Friends learn to speak one another's words". But will Green Leaf learn to say his friend's words well enough to save Henri when he falls into danger? Members Reviews: INTRIGUING,INFORMATIVE FIUN. The author has used the story of this Native American boy to drawn the reader back into the different lifestyle of people so foreign to us.Their culture ,habits, methods, and implements are strange, and compels the reader to move forward for an understandingof how they were used to do the basic chores in everyday life. The need to befriend and know others who are unlike us is displayed by Green Leafs desire to learn how to communicate and help someone who is different from our own familiar kin folk and culture.Even today ,in our modern world communities ,often it is children who become the bridge builders, offering friendship, acceptance, and respect,so that we can move beyond our own distrust and work together in harmony. The adventures of the story is fast paced and keeps the reader turning the pages for the outcomes. The glossary helps with pronunciation and comprehension and the illustrations are clear and speaks of the Native American history. The story piques the readers interest to find out more about the lifestyles of our Native American Ancestors . The word count is low enough for a child to read quickly and the chapters are short and to the point. I really like this book and I found it fun and informative.Children of all ages will find this book a real treat. This book was so good that I bought the rest of the books in the series! I was eager to see if "The First Children of Farmington" books were as wonderful as I had heard, so I bought the kindle version of "Green Leaf, The Potawatomi Boy." It was so good that I immediately bought the paperback version and all five of the other "Farmington" books. I plan on giving them to my niece for Christmas. In this book, Green Leaf learns that friendship can overcome any barriers including those presented by cultural and linguistic differences. I really enjoyed this book. The writing was very good and the characters were delightful. A Good Chapter Book For Homeschooling Families A great educational and fun read for anyone who wants to learn about the Potawatomi Indians. "Green Leaf" has a glossary in the back for unfamiliar Indian words and a "find the hidden pictures" page for objects that were relevant in the story. The chapters were very short for beginning readers, and each chapter has a colorful picture to go along with the story. "Green Leaf" is written from a child's point of view and will draw in even reluctant readers with lots of action and colorful words. I wish I'd had this series to read with my daughters when they were young. Both were reluctant readers and these short chapter books would have covered history, English, and reading in one fell swoop.
