Jersey Nerds Podcast - 094 - Dallas and Nashville Winter Classic Logos

Those logos are examined and rated. Ryan also looks at the Penguins' chances of making the playoffs this season. A similar look is given to the Winnipeg Jets whose defense group looks like a shell of itself from one season ago. Finally it's capped off with predictions! Dallas will use a Dallas Texans inspired logo that features a large D with Stars going through the middle of it for the Winter Classic. The A in Stars is replaced by a traditional looking star shape. The big thing to notice on this logo was the use of faux stitching, which has peaked our interest in what the jerseys will look like! Ryan's rating: 8.5 / 10 The Nashville Predators logo will actually appear on the shoulder of their jerseys. Based on where the event logo typically is located, we would expect to only see one of these logos on the jerseys. Also released, but without any fanfare, was the script logo the Preds will use. It appears to be based on the Dixie Flyers' old script, which would lead us to believe the Preds will wear Dixie Flyers throwbacks. Ryan's rating: 7.5 / 10 Throwback Throwdown is a fight between Sharks and Coyotes! The 1992 Sharks teal jersey defends the crown against the 2001 Phoenix Coyotes kachina jersey! Sean goes up against Bpoe in a heated match-up. Ryan gives them a random team and they have to name that team's captain, coach, and arena. One point for each correct answer is awarded to the players and the person with the most points after five rounds wins the game! The Colorado Eagles of the AHL will wear Avalanche inspired third jerseys ten times during the 2019-20. We look at the details of the jersey and compare the CCM version of this jersey up against the Adidas version. The Jersey Nerds gush all over it on this episode. How high did they rate this? Where does it rank amongst all other NHL All-Star Game logos? In February the Los Angeles Kings will be bringing their 1993 white throwback jerseys out of the closet for two retro games. This surprise announcement is reviewed by the Nerds and they debate if this is a retro jersey that we needed. Fake or Authentic takes a look at those who remove their shoes when they go inside and if the AHL will use Adidas as their jersey supplier in a couple of years. The 1983 green Hartford Whalers jersey has a chance to move into the Throwback Throwdown Hall of Fame. If it defeats this week's challenger then it will be the first jerset to accomplish that feat.
