The episode begins with a quick apology from the besties - this week has been a lot but they’ll catch up soon on Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. They discuss the excitement from the Mexico Grand Prix and then dive right into what was not the most exciting episode of Sister Wives.   Between slightly premature wedding planning with Christine and David to Meri not taking any shit from Kody, frankly, not a lot happened during this episode. Sister Wives, Season 19, Episode 6: Bon Voyage Kody

The besties start the episode off cheering up Jill from a long day with a little Swiftie talk. With new outfits and surprises at Miami, we’re sure that the final leg of the Eras tour will be lots of surprises.    The besties don’t take too long before diving into another insane episode of Sister Wives. It’s Christmas time again, and where most of the family is learning to deal with the new normal of the holidays, Kody decides to have one final ‘chat’ with Meri about their divorce. It’s probably one of the most disgusting conversations ever to be captured by reality tv show cameras. Like, can Kody never again say the word orgasm? But the besties agreed that Meri held her ground and showed some great positive growth. Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Season 1, Episode 6: Girls Trip, Part Deux

The besties kick off this episode with all the excitement from the US Grand Prix. However, Jill was distracted by finishing the Hunger Games trilogy. After a mini digress to talk a little bit about that iconic book series, they dive right into the latest episode of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.    The besties discuss all the jaw-dropping scenes and lines from this week’s episode. From oversharing on medical procedures to unintentionally setting your friends up to fight with their spouses, this episode wasn’t exactly a great example of what female friendships can be. We see more of Dakota and Taylor arguing and continuing their toxic behavior making everyone around them uncomfortable. The wives head to Vegas which brings nothing but trouble for poor Jen.

Sister Wives, Season 19, Episode 5: Put the Shovel Down

The besties start out the episode on a somber note discussing the passing of Liam Payne (RIP). In book related news, the upcoming release of the fifth book in the Hunger Games universe has been announced and Jill’s dad officially finished Throne of Glass. They finish the opener with a quick discussion of Meri’s fire TikTok and the many, many interviews Christine and Janelle have been doing.    Mel & Jill dive into the aptly named ‘The Year of Release’ episode and discuss Kody’s inability to have relationships with pretty much anyone. The besties are also grossed out by the picture of the placenta - we did not need that TLC. They empathize with Gabriel trying to navigate the rough waters of a difficult relationship with a parent, but pause briefly to feel happy for Meri getting her release.
