Solo travel has become a passion of Danielle's however her first step into trying it came at a time when she needed a holiday but her husband was not available. Instead of waiting she became determined to travel solo immediately, which is what she did. Danielle has wanted to travel solo more ever since. Her travel memoir Happy Iceland, tells of her unique five week trip to Iceland where she went against the norm, used her instinct to speak to local people, listened carefully to what they had to say to lead her to interesting places around the country. Anne Marie's journey to get Happy Iceland published is still on-going and yet after many long years, she talks about her solo travel experience with such love and gratitude.
