Podbite - Nurturing Self Worth an interactive episode

Today's podcast episode, 'Nurturing Self-Worth', is an immersive, interactive session designed to guide you through reflective exercises, provoke thought and understanding of self-worth, self-care, and express personal boundaries. Starting with a poignant poem about the pervasive, invisible emotional labour we carry daily, it encourages you to query what you visualise when you think about self-care. It challenges perceptions and uncovers the often-forgotten aspects of self-care, like getting enough sleep, setting boundaries and voicing needs. This episode takes you through simple exercises to gauge your self-worth and understand your value independent of your roles, your relationships and approval from others. The 'Bill of Rights' lists statements related to valuing ourselves, our needs, our desires both physical and emotional. This could act as a triggering catalyst to understand what aspects of self-worth we struggle to assert. Next, through a reflective 'Petals of Worth' exercise, you are prompted to acknowledge your inherent attributes beyond their appearance. This practice then extends to daily exercises to gradually build your self-worth 'muscle' with simple mantras such as "One thing I value about myself is.." significantly contributing to our self-dialogue. Concluding with a soothing meditation, this episode serves a gentle reminder and affirmation of our self-worth, self-value, our rights to voice our needs, exercise boundaries, and the need for rest.

Pod Bite - Breaking the Habit of People Pleasing

Welcome back to the Reframe Podcast! I'm excited to introduce you to a new mini-episode series, Pod Bites, where I share practical tips and insights to help you build a healthier relationship with food. Surprisingly, our first episode doesn't tackle food directly but instead delves into the concept of people-pleasing and its correlation with how we relate to food. In this episode, I delve into how people-pleasing can profoundly impact our mental and physical energy, disrupting our ability to identify situations where we are emotionally and physically drained. Understanding this can be a powerful step towards reclaiming control over our relationship with food.  Within this Pod Bite, I share my top tips for dealing with the propensity for people-pleasing.  I hope you enjoy this episode and that it offers you food for thought – a terrible pun intended! Happy listening. As always, I am rooting for you.    Rose
