5 for 5 Live with Heather Kornemann, Amber Lydic & Katherine Lowry

Live Q and A Conversation Replay by Heather Kornemann, Amber Lydic & Katherine Lowry Clinic details + registration: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSclcogR_g1GrqNGiXsR6r3eMvr-9TVW98qA2sOpNwD_nRI2dg/viewform?pli=1 Balance Through Movement Method (Pillar one): https://www.balancethroughmovementmethod.com/about If you have specific questions about whether this is a fit for you or your horse, reach out directly to Heather. She is the one organizing and hosting the clinic. Heather contact: Message through FaceBook What This Conversation Covered This was a real conversation about what is actually happening in the horse-human relationship. Why so many people leave clinics overwhelmed. Why horses “change” for a weekend and then slide back. Why riders are anxious while trying to learn. Why nervous systems and body patterns matter more than chasing exercises. Why bouncing from method to method leaves both you and your horse confused. And why this 5 for 5 format exists. The Structure Five people. Five days. One pair at a time with Heather and the horse. Mornings begin on the mat with Katherine. Days unfold with individual horse work. Evenings close with integration and nervous system work. It is flexible on purpose. No rigid time blocks for horses. No forcing progress to fit a clock. No one size fits all format. Each participant can be working on something completely different. That is the point. The Three Roles Heather Kornemann Vaquero horsewoman. Focused on clarity, confidence, and contact. She looks at the whole picture. Feet, saddle fit, posture, compensation patterns, emotional attachment, bridle readiness, all of it. Her focus is helping five people deeply, not performing for a crowd. Katherine Lowry Human movement specialist and equestrian coach. Morning sessions focus on breath, pelvic alignment, planes of motion, and foundational body awareness. Participants receive structured progressions and recordings they can continue using after the clinic. If all someone can do for five days is breathe and reconnect to their diaphragm, that is still progress. Amber Lydic Nervous system and story work within the horse-human relationship. She supports participants in recognizing internal brace, emotional attachment, and unconscious patterns. She will be there helping people process what comes up in real time as they witness their horses being worked, and guiding end of day integration. This is not about breaking people down. It is about helping them see clearly. Logistics Location: Benicia, California (East Bay Area) June Dates: June 10 through June 14 March Option: March 18 through March 22 March is weather dependent. If you are interested in March, let Heather know directly. Cost: $2,000 for five days Includes all work with Heather, plus the morning and evening support with Katherine and Amber. Horses: Horses can stay on site. Spectators: Spectators are welcome. Camping is available for participants and spectators. If a participant requests private time during a session, spectators may step away during that portion. Bridle horse / Two rein: Yes, this can be part of your five days if that is your focus. Readiness includes both the horse’s body and the rider’s body and nervous system. No prerequisites required. If you do not know the pillars yet, that can be part of your work there. A Core Theme That Came Up Stop bouncing between methods. If something is working, you should know why it is working. If something is not working, you should know why it is not working. The goal is discernment. Not rigid allegiance. Not weekly identity changes. Just clarity. When you have that, you stop feeling overwhelmed by the noise in horse land. If you watched the replay and something stirred, follow that. If you have questions, ask us. And if you are just quietly thinking about it, that is fine too. Thank you for hanging out with us!! Amber, Heather & Katherine

Mirror in the Stall Series: Danielle Crowell

Title: Roots of Embodiment: Listening to the Body, Healing Through Connection with Danielle Crowell  Episode Summary: In this Mirror in the Stall episode of The Art of Equine Alchemy, Amber Lydic is joined by intuitive embodiment guide and yoga teacher, Danielle Crowell. This conversation is a deep and powerful dive into what it really means to live in your body — to come back to it, to listen to it, and to let it lead the way.  Danielle shares her personal healing journey through an eating disorder and how it taught her to reconnect with her physical body. She talks about embodiment not as a concept, but as a lived experience — one that is essential for growth, healing, and deeper relationship with ourselves and the world around us.  We also explore her relationship with her horse, Sota, and how their journey together became a mirror for her own body image and intuitive knowing. This episode is full of tender reflections, deep wisdom, and a powerful invitation to stop overriding our bodies and start honoring them.  Danielle walks us through her Roots of Embodiment program — a six-phase journey: Discover, Dissolve, Desire, Devote, Deepen, and Design — created to help others reconnect with their inner truth and creative expression.  What you’ll hear in this episode: • Danielle’s healing path from disconnection to embodied presence • How horses reflect our energy and teach us to listen more deeply • The phases of the Roots of Embodiment journey • Why rest and play are just as important as doing and achieving • How energy boundaries show up in human and horse relationships • The wisdom our bodies hold — when we choose to listen • A behind-the-scenes look at Danielle’s upcoming program and vision  Connect with Danielle: http://www.daniellecrowell.com [http://www.daniellecrowell.com/] If you like this episode, please like and share — and most definitely subscribe so you don’t miss any!!

Mirror in the Stall Series: Tracy Goodwin

In this episode, I’m joined by voice intuitive and coach Tracy Goodwin for a powerful conversation about the deeper layers of our voice and how it ties into identity, emotional expression, and healing. Tracy breaks down her ability to hear seven layers of sound in a person’s voice—what she calls “voice masks”—and how these layers often protect us but also hide our truest selves. We dig into how core wounds like fear of judgment or abandonment shape the way we speak, sometimes without us even realizing it. Tracy shares stories, including one about a client whose voice got quieter after years of criticism from his siblings, showing how our voice carries our personal history—our “voice story.” She also explains how shifting the way we use our voice can help us reclaim parts of our identity and be more fully expressed. We talk about real things—like the challenge of feeling heard in relationships, the stories we carry from childhood, and how being a people pleaser can silence your voice. Tracy and I both open up about our own experiences and the work it takes to dismantle old narratives so we can show up more fully, more authentically. This episode is all about the power of voice, not just as a tool for speaking, but as a window into the soul. If you’ve ever felt like your voice doesn’t match who you really are—or you’re ready to unlock something deeper—this conversation is for you.

Mirror in the Stall Series: Susi May Empowerment|Presence|Nature

Welcome back to The Mirror in the Stall, where we explore the reflections our horses offer us and the deeper connections we can build when we truly listen. In this episode, I sit down with Susi May, whose journey from traditional horse training to a more intuitive, empowering approach has reshaped the way she connects with horses—and with herself. Moving to Western Australia and working with her horse, Hercules, were pivotal moments in her evolution, leading her to embrace animal communication, presence, and a deeper understanding of emotional connection in training. She shares the personal challenges she faced, including injuries and the pressure of conventional methods, and how those experiences ultimately deepened her awareness of both her own needs and the emotional needs of her horses. We explore how shifting away from dominance-based methods allows both humans and horses to step into their own power, fostering relationships built on trust and respect. Susi talks about how presence, attunement, and real-world experiences—like her deep connection to the ocean—help her horses feel seen and understood. Amber Lydic joins the conversation, sharing her own experiences of self-discovery through horse training and how redefining success has led her to a more holistic approach. Together, we dive into the emotional and nervous system awareness that plays a crucial role in our interactions with horses, and how practices like grounding exercises and honoring a horse’s voice can create profound transformation for both human and horse. This conversation isn’t just about training—it’s about how horses teach us to show up fully, embrace our own growth, and build connections that go beyond technique. So take a breath, settle in, and let’s explore what our horses are reflecting back to us today. Three relationship themes from this conversation: 1. Relationship to Empowerment – Understanding how both humans and horses can step into their own voice and autonomy. 2. Relationship to Presence – How slowing down and truly being with our horses shifts the depth of connection. 3. Relationship to Nature – The healing influence of the natural world, from the ocean to the land, in deepening our awareness and connection with horses.

We dive into the real work behind relationships—not just the ones we have with others, but the one we have with ourselves. Mandi shares how our personal beliefs, past experiences, and unprocessed emotions shape our connections. She also walks us through the difference between relationship misalignment and personal trauma, offering a fresh perspective on healing and growth. We also talk about: ✨ Feeling misunderstood in relationships (whether it’s with a partner, a friend, or an adult child) ✨ The sneaky ways feelings of inadequacy show up in our lives—and how to shift them ✨ The resistance we face when making big life changes and why self-awareness is key ✨ Emotional regulation, self-judgment, and how to stop fighting your own feelings And, of course, we couldn’t help but explore something unexpected—the role of AI in personal development.
