Yantra Meditation - improve your focus and inner balance

Yantra is a mystical diagram. Sacred combination of geometrical figures that have symbolic value and energetical potency. It  is a representation of the cosmic energies at the macrocosmic and at the microcosmic level.  Yantras have been used as tool for meditation for thousands  of years.  During the practice a meditator gazes upon sacred geometric images to focus the mind. This action helps to balance activities of the brain hemispheres, soothe the nervous system, relieving tension and clearing the mind.  If you are experienced yoga practitioner you may perform a yoni moodra while meditating. It will help to draw the mind back to its center. Note: You will need an Yantra image for this practice. You can easily find it on internet. Download any image of the Yantra that resonates with you.  Print it and place it in front of you at the eye level. You may also visit BodhicittaArt on etsy for original Yantra creations.

Simple breath awareness for beginners and more advanced practitioners.

This simple meditation will help you to tune into a peaceful presence within you. Awareness of the breath has the ability to calm the nervous system, switch from sympathetic to parasympathetic ( the relaxed) mode. It brings you back to here and now when you get lost in your thoughts or when the experience becomes too intense.  Everybody breathes, so we can use the breath as a support to anchor the awareness in the present moment. Simply notice how your body moves with every inhalation and exhalation. Notice how the air enters the nostrils, flows down through air passages to your lungs, expanding your chest, expanding your abdomen. Simply follow the flow of air without effort, allow the breath to flow in and out. No effort needed. No action to take. Your body is breathing and you are just noticing it...
