Acerca de AuDHD and Then Some.

https://linktr.ee/Ellieaudhd Hey guys, it’s me, Ellie and this is my tiny part of the world a space that represents me and sometimes “us”🤍 Here I pride myself on being honest, down to earth, open, sometimes a bit sweary… but most importantly, unapologetically me. It’s taken me a long time to get here and I nearly at times didn’t , but I made it — just in time for perimenopause (joy 😭). This is a safe, inclusive space for everyone — neurodivergent and non-neurodivergent people, ADHD, autistic and AuDHD minds, men, women, non-binary people, all ages, races, religions, identities, and backgrounds. Whether you’re diagnosed, self-identifying, questioning, struggling, healing, or simply trying to understand yourself better… you are welcome here. Because once upon a time, I needed a space like this — and I felt welcome nowhere. So let’s not recreate that. After years of ADHD masking, autism masking, people pleasing, emotional burnout, and trying to fit into spaces that never fully fit me, I’m now on a journey to better understand myself, my AuDHD brain, and what it really means to live authentically as a neurodivergent woman — whilst training as a therapist, working as a mentor and coach, and occasionally doing motivational speaking. If you’re navigating ADHD, autism, AuDHD, masking, burnout, executive dysfunction, rejection sensitivity, overwhelm, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, or the emotional reality of being neurodivergent in a world that doesn’t always understand you — you’re welcome here. We also sometimes touch on trauma, healing, relationships, identity, mental health, and nervous system overwhelm… because a problem shared is a problem halved and all that and I’ve had an exciting life (ffs) AuDHD and then some is a neurodivergent mental health podcast hosted by Ellie, exploring the real and often unspoken side of ADHD, autism, and late-diagnosed AuDHD. Expect honest conversations, relatable reflections, and practical insights around: • ADHD and autism (AuDHD) • Neurodivergent identity and unmasking • Executive dysfunction and autistic burnout • Emotional regulation and nervous system overwhelm • Rejection sensitivity and people pleasing • ADHD in women and high-masking autism • Late diagnosis grief and self-acceptance This isn’t about fixing yourself. It’s about understanding your brain, softening the noise, and feeling a little less alone. ✨ More resources, bonus content and community: audhdandthensome.com audhdandthensome.com/audhdmembership patreon.com/AuDHDandThenSome”

episode I’m In A Toxic Relationship With My Spotify Analytics (ADHD) artwork

I’m In A Toxic Relationship With My Spotify Analytics (ADHD)

In this episode, I’m talking about my emotionally unhealthy attachment to Spotify analytics… because apparently ADHD brains can turn literally ANYTHING into a dopamine spiral 😭 One minute I’m casually checking my podcast stats… The next I’m: ✨ refreshing plays every seven minutes ✨ analysing listener retention like a detective ✨ emotionally attaching my self-worth to episode performance ✨ wondering if I’m uploading too much ✨ spiralling because one title got 4 plays instead of 24 This episode is a funny, honest, chaotic reflection on ADHD, dopamine, validation, reassurance-seeking, perfectionism, creative obsession, and the very neurodivergent experience of overanalysing EVERYTHING you care deeply about. But underneath the humour, I also talk about: 💜 rejection sensitivity 💜 needing reassurance 💜 fear of failure 💜 attaching worth to productivity 💜 creative vulnerability 💜 why neurodivergent people can become obsessed with feedback and progress Because honestly? Sometimes it’s not even about the numbers. Sometimes it’s about finally feeling understood for the first time in your life. Topics include: ADHD, AuDHD, dopamine, validation, rejection sensitivity, creator burnout, podcasting, perfectionism, reassurance-seeking, neurodivergent anxiety, self-worth, emotional overwhelm, and obsessive checking behaviours.

episode Perimenopause, AuDHD & Late Diagnosis | An Honest Conversation with Wendy artwork

Perimenopause, AuDHD & Late Diagnosis | An Honest Conversation with Wendy

This episode started with me completely losing my train of thought… but somehow it became one of the most powerful and authentic conversations I’ve ever had on the podcast. I’m joined by the lovely Wendy from our AuDHD community to talk openly about perimenopause, late diagnosis, masking, burnout, identity, and the reality of discovering you’re neurodivergent later in life. Wendy is a psychologist specialising in neurodiversity, as well as a senior HR professional, and she shares both her professional insight and lived experience of being diagnosed as AuDHD after perimenopause. We discuss the struggles she faced in school and work before understanding herself, and how she’s now using her experiences to support other neurodivergent people. This conversation is raw, honest, validating, emotional, and deeply relatable for anyone navigating ADHD, autism, perimenopause, or late diagnosis. Topics include: * Perimenopause & neurodivergence * Late diagnosed AuDHD * ADHD & autism in women * Masking & burnout * Emotional overwhelm * Workplace struggles * Self-understanding & healing If you’ve ever felt like you were “too much,” “not coping,” or suddenly struggling in ways you couldn’t explain — this episode is for you.

episode Fictional Characters That Raised Us | Neurodivergence, Maladaptive Daydreaming & Emotional Survival artwork

Fictional Characters That Raised Us | Neurodivergence, Maladaptive Daydreaming & Emotional Survival

I was rudely interrupted at the end by work but….Some neurodivergent kids escaped into fictional worlds because reality felt too overwhelming, lonely, confusing, or unsafe. In this deeply relatable (and slightly emotionally devastating) episode of AudioHD and Then Some, Ellie talks about fictional character attachments, maladaptive daydreaming, hyperfixations, parasocial relationships, autism, ADHD, AuDHD, loneliness, trauma coping mechanisms, and the imaginary worlds that helped so many of us survive childhood. From creating entire cinematic universes in our heads to emotionally depending on fictional characters more than real people, this episode explores the humour, grief, creativity, and survival behind neurodivergent escapism. If you’ve ever felt “too attached” to fictional characters, lived inside your imagination, paced around daydreaming for hours, or used stories as emotional safety — you are absolutely not alone. “If this episode emotionally destroyed you even slightly, please rate the podcast five stars because apparently healing is expensive.” #Neurodivergent #ADHD #Autism #AuDHD #MaladaptiveDaydreaming #Hyperfixation #MentalHealthPodcast #LateDiagnosis #Neurodiversity #ADHDTok #AutisticAdult #Podcast #SpotifyPodcast #Escapism #FictionalCharacters
