Acerca de Bold Faith Now - Where Faith Meets Courage

Are you a Christ-follower who wants to live boldly for Him? Do you want to be a witness, stand for the Truth, step out of your comfort zone, and experience spiritual growth? Do you want to share the Good News of Jesus and what He has done in your life but are a little apprehensive about speaking boldly about Him to other people? Or maybe you have conversations with a friend or family member, and they ask hard questions about your faith, and you don't feel adequate in your Biblical knowledge to respond? If that is you, you are not alone, and you are in the right place, my friend! My name is Missy Eversole, and I'm a wife, mom, author, speaker, Colson Fellow, and a friend who loves to grab a cup of coffee, sit around the table and talk about Jesus. For years, I didn't have the courage to speak boldly about my relationship with Jesus because I felt inadequate. In my mind, no one would care about what I'd have to say if I didn't have a degree in theology. But here's what I've learned: you don't need a theology degree to be the light for Jesus! I'm here to encourage you with practical tips and applications to help you be bold in your faith and give you the daring confidence you need to be a joyful witness in a culture of compromise. The Bold Faith Now podcast will equip you with the tools you need to be a courageous disciple of Christ. I'll have interviews with other bold-faith Christ-followers, and we'll chat about how we can stop conforming to the world and start transforming in Jesus. I'll even have some Bible lessons to help you live boldly for Him. So, my friend, grab your favorite drink, pull up a chair, and join me at the table —let's talk about living boldly for Jesus! And be sure to follow the Bold Faith Now Podcast to get every weekly episode delivered right in your favorite podcast app! 118 - What Makes You Different Can Make a Difference with Jenifer Jennings

Have you ever felt like you did not quite fit in? In this episode of the Bold Faith Now podcast, Missy talks with author Jenifer Jennings about her new children's book, Dotty Makes a Difference, and the beautiful reminder that God creates each one of us on purpose and for a purpose. Jenifer shares the personal story behind Dotty, a spotted zebra who longs to fit in with the rest of her striped herd. What began as a writing contest entry became a powerful story of faith, friendship, courage, and trusting that God can use what makes us different for His glory. In this episode, Missy and Jenifer discuss: * Why children and adults often struggle with comparison and the desire to fit in * How parents and grandparents can speak God's truth over children who feel different * Why friendship and community help us walk in courage * How God uses our weaknesses, gifts, and differences to point others back to Him This conversation is a sweet reminder for kids, parents, grandparents, writers, and believers of all ages that our differences are not mistakes. God can use every part of our story for His purpose. Remember to live boldly for Jesus and let your light shine bright for Him! episode 117 - What If God Is Better Than You Ever Imagined? with Chuck Ammons artwork

117 - What If God Is Better Than You Ever Imagined? with Chuck Ammons

What if the way we see God as Father has been shaped more by our earthly wounds than by the truth of Scripture? In this episode of the Bold Faith Now podcast, Missy talks with pastor and author Chuck Ammons about his new book, Reconstructing Dad. Chuck shares his personal story of losing his father at a young age, walking through fatherlessness, becoming a dad to five children, and discovering the tender, steady, and faithful heart of God as Father. In this episode, Missy and Chuck discuss: * How father wounds can shape the way we see God * Why we need to read Scripture through what Chuck calls the Emmaus lens * How striving, fear, and anxiety can reveal an orphan mentality * Why rest is not laziness, but an invitation to trust the Father Chuck reminds us that bold faith is not always quick obedience with immediate results. Sometimes bold faith looks like holding on to what God planted, even through storms, waiting, refining, and uncertainty. Remember to live boldly for Jesus and let your light shine bright for Him! episode 116 - The Hidden Beauty of the Hebrew Alphabet with Lauren Crews artwork

116 - The Hidden Beauty of the Hebrew Alphabet with Lauren Crews

Have you ever wondered what you might be missing when you read Scripture through only an English, Western lens? In this episode of the Bold Faith Now podcast, Missy chats with Lauren Crews, author of Word Made Flesh: Echoes of Faith in the Hebrew Alphabet. Lauren takes a topic that can feel intimidating — the Hebrew alphabet — and makes it approachable, devotional, and exciting. Through word pictures, biblical imagery, and simple examples, Lauren helps us see how the Hebrew language can deepen our understanding of Scripture and point us more clearly to Jesus. From the meaning behind the letter Aleph to the beauty of Shalom, this conversation is full of "aha" moments that will make you want to slow down, open your Bible, and linger with God's Word. In this episode, Missy and Lauren discuss: * Why Hebrew is a pictographic language and how each letter carries meaning and imagery. * How the Hebrew alphabet points to Jesus through pictures of strength, sacrifice, covenant, and peace. * Why Bible study does not have to be intimidating or overly academic. * How slowing down with Scripture helps us move beyond checking a box and into a deeper relationship with God. You do not have to be a scholar to dig deeper into God's Word. Start small, slow down, look up a word, and ask the Lord to open your eyes to the beauty already waiting in Scripture. 115 - What Every Christ Follower Should Know About the Rapture with Todd Hampson

Are you ready for Jesus to return, or have you pushed aside the hope of His coming? In this episode of the Bold Faith Now podcast, Missy talks with author and Bible prophecy teacher Todd Hampson, author of The Non-Prophet's Guide to the Rapture. Todd brings clarity to a topic many believers either avoid, misunderstand, or feel unsure how to talk about. With Scripture as the foundation, he reminds us that the return of Jesus is not meant to stir up fear, but to strengthen our hope, deepen our trust in God's Word, and encourage us to live faithfully while we wait. In this episode, Missy and Todd discuss: * Why many believers have stopped talking about the rapture * How the return of Jesus should shape the way we live today * What the Jewish wedding imagery teaches us about Christ and His bride * Why Bible prophecy reminds us that God's Word can be trusted The return of Jesus is not meant to scare believers into hiding. It is meant to anchor us in hope, strengthen our faith, and remind us to live boldly for Him right now. Remember to live boldly for Jesus and let your light shine bright for Him!
