Connecting Our Roots
In this episode we talk to C6 scholar Latesha K. Harris about her research on police violence and cardiometabolic health, and she shares how the murder of George Floyd and the 2020 re-insurgence of the Black Lives Matter movement catalyzed her values of belonging, justice, knowledge, and leadership. Latesha shares many resources during our chat for folks who are interested in engaging her work. I share some relevant links to projects discussed below. The link to her website is: lateshakharris.org If you are interested in Latesha's study on Structural Racism and Cardiometabolic Risk, please use the link to determine your eligibility to participate. https://rc1.redcap.unc.edu/surveys/?s=FD443YW9F9CNXLWJ If you have additional questions, you may contact Latesha Harris, at lkharris@unc.edu or 984-260-8936 (IRB 22-1778).
