Episode 14: "GOD met me in the STORM" w/EJ Lanham | CrumeCast Podcast

Send a text [https://www.buzzsprout.com/twilio/text_messages/2465672/open_sms] In this episode we get real about faith, childhood wounds, calling, and how God uses the darkest parts of our story to build the brightest parts of our purpose. This is raw and honest. We talk about growing up without stability, trying to fill emotional gaps, and how the hurt we carry from childhood still shows up in our adult lives. My guest today is Pastor E.J. Lanham of Field of Grace Church in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. E.J. grew up around bars, addiction, chaos, and a whole lot of brokenness. His dad was consistent but wild, his mom battled addiction, and the environment he was raised in shaped him in ways he would not fully understand until years later. We talk about how God kept showing up in small ways, how E.J. got saved at 23 with no background in church, and how he went from having no spiritual foundation to leading a church that now reaches hundreds every week. His story is powerful because it is real. The darkness did not disqualify him. It prepared him. We dig into the emotional side of growing up without a nurturing mother, the attachment wounds it creates, and how that affects men long into adulthood. We talk about the provider role, the nurturer role, and how most of us spend our lives trying to fill the gaps of what we never received. This episode is about:  • How childhood wounds shape who we become as adults  • Why God uses broken stories to reach broken people  • How men learn to communicate, feel, and heal  • The tension between provider and nurturer roles  • What real faith and leadership look like outside of the spotlight  • How consistency from a flawed parent can still be life changing This one is for anyone who grew up with chaos, anyone trying to break generational patterns, and anyone who needs to hear that God can use your story exactly as it is. 🎙 Hosted by Tim Crume  🎧 Guest: Pastor E.J. Episode 13: Navigating Rough Waters | CrumeCast Podcast

Send a text [https://www.buzzsprout.com/twilio/text_messages/2465672/open_sms] In this episode we get real. Not surface level. Not highlight-reel stuff. Real life, real emotions, real growth. We talk about purpose, fear, childhood trauma, leadership, and what it looks like when the little kid inside of you tries to run the show in adult life. I share a story from our family trip where I found myself steering a boat through some rough water. On the outside I looked calm, but inside I was gripping that wheel tight. That moment hit me hard, because sometimes leadership feels the same way. You are responsible for the people with you, and even if you are nervous, you stay steady and guide everyone through. Then once you make it to solid ground, you talk about it honestly. We talk about how so many of our reactions today are still coming from that younger version of us. The little boy who did not know how to process fear. The version of you who did not have the tools yet. And if we never face that, that younger self will keep steering the ship. One thing we dig into is the idea of sponsoring your victims. A lot of people get healed or overcome something hard and then go help everyone else, but never go back and repair the damage at home. The ones who lived through your broken parts deserve that conversation. They deserve that healing too. Growth means not just fixing yourself, but restoring what was hurt along the way. This episode is about:  • Leading through fear without pretending fear is not real  • When the child version of you tries to run your life  • Speaking honestly about pain instead of hiding it  • Faith and healing through vulnerability  • Sponsoring your victims and repairing the relationships closest to you This one is for anyone learning to lead with honesty, to heal old pain, and to live in truth so the next generation does not repeat the same cycles. 🎙 Hosted by Tim Crume  🔗 Full access → https://solo.to/crumecast [https://solo.to/crumecast] 🗓 New episodes First Tuesday of every month at 6PM EST

Episode 12: It Started With a Ladder w/Kenny Lanham | CrumeCast Podcast

Send a text [https://www.buzzsprout.com/twilio/text_messages/2465672/open_sms] My guest, Kenny Lanham, has been in my life for years and played a huge role in both my personal growth and the success of my businesses. He was the one who gave me my first big shot, a chance that helped shape the path I’m on today. We dive into his journey, from working at Lowe’s to becoming a key part of Crume Installations, and how it all began with an awkward and hilarious story about me trying to buy and return a ladder for a job. But more than that, this episode is about the power of doing the little things that make a big impact. From covering the cost of a water heater for someone in need to taking on the jobs no one else wants, like fixing a broken toilet, Kenny’s story reminds us that leadership, service, and success are built on showing up where it matters most. This episode is about: • How one encounter can spark a lifelong connection • The moment Kenny gave me my first big opportunity • Leading with service and doing the little things that make a big difference • The importance of heart and dedication over skill when hiring • Building businesses on trust, loyalty, and genuine care for people This one is for anyone who believes that real success isn’t just about the work you do, but about the people who believe in you along the way. 🎙 Hosted by Tim Crume 🎧 Guest: Kenny Lanham 🔗 Full access → https://solo.to/crumecast 🗓 New episodes First Tuesday of every month at 6PM EST

Episode 11: Company Vacations are a GAME CHANGER | CrumeCast Podcast

Send a text [https://www.buzzsprout.com/twilio/text_messages/2465672/open_sms] I talk about what it meant to take my employees on a company vacation. Not just as a reward, but as a chance to build trust, boost morale, and create memories that carry back into the workplace. CrumeCation reminded me that culture isn’t built in meetings, it’s built in moments. This episode is about:  • Why taking time away with your team builds stronger relationships and morale  • Honoring my grandmother’s life and legacy  • The inspirational story of Beckham Troutman, and the privilege of hosting his celebration of life  • How the right “Circle” of people creates the foundation for success This one is for leaders, dreamers, and anyone who believes that relationships, not just results, are the real measure of success. 🎙 Hosted by Tim Crume  🔗 Full access → https://solo.to/crumecast [https://solo.to/crumecast?utm_source=chatgpt.com] 🗓 New episodes First Tuesday of every month at 6PM EST

Episode 10: Marriage is WORTH IT w/Shelbi Crume | CrumeCast Podcast

Send a text [https://www.buzzsprout.com/twilio/text_messages/2465672/open_sms]  In this episode, I sit down with my wife, Shelbi Crume, to talk about what it really means to grow together. We got married young, and over the years we’ve learned—sometimes the hard way—that real connection takes work, intention, and humility. In this conversation, we open up about our journey: the lessons, the laughter, the challenges, and the joy of building a life side by side. This episode is about: • Choosing each other every day—even when it’s not easy • Learning how to communicate, not just talk • The beautiful, chaotic arrival of our twins—and how it changed everything • Growing with your partner, not past them This one is for anyone doing life with someone they love—and working to love them better. 🎙 Hosted by Tim Crume 🎧 Special Guest: Shelbi Crume 🔗 Full access → https://solo.to/crumecast 🗓 New episodes First Tuesday of every month at 6PM EST
