Dad Like a Seahorse
Send us a text [https://www.buzzsprout.com/twilio/text_messages/2009868/open_sms] In this first-ever Part 2, I continue my conversation with Dad of three kids, Alex Trippier. Alex explains his 'evolution' as a dad learning how to pack for family trips, which involved his wife, Eloise, learning how to step back and letting Alex make mistakes. "You can't live in shame and change at the same time." Challenging for Mums to step back and to no longer be in charge. The 'instinct' is for the Mum to "own the problems," when it's really both parents' job to teach kids how to be responsible for their own lives. Why do Mums think it's their job to be responsible for the family? Dads have to choose to take on fatherhood. To choose to be cracked open by our children. Elisabeth Harrod, B. A.
